Using BBands with Bitcoin

Over on Twitter there is a lot of interest in the new crypto currency Bitcoin. Recently I pointed out a couple of basic Bollinger Band Bitcoin setups that worked. The interesting bit is the charts lengths used; the most recent setup came from a four hour chart with the target calculated from a daily chart.

Bar lengths are an interesting area of study, an area that is very understudied. I have always liked 'logical' bar lengths. For example, the NYSE regular session runs from 9:30 to 4:00. That's 390 minutes, which makes for three 130 minute bars per day--opening, mid session and closing. Try that and see if helps. (My handle on Twitter is BBands.)
