Case-Shiller Home Price Index, (January) - 3/29 - 9:00AM ET

BofAML: We expect S&P Case Shiller home prices to increase 0.4% mom SA in January, leaving the yoy rate at 5.4%. Home price appreciation was exceptionally strong at the end of 2015, implying momentum heading into this year. Moreover, we see signs that the housing market remains lean with low levels of inventory and fast turnover of the housing stock.

Barclays: S&P/Case-Shiller 20-city HPI: We forecast the S&P/Case-Shiller 20-city home price index to rise 0.9% m/m in January. National home price measures have shown healthy momentum since late last year, and we look for this index to be up 6.0% y/y, the fastest pace since early 2014.

Conference Board Consumer Confidence, (March) - 3/29 - 10:00AM ET

BofAML: We expect the Conference Board Consumer Confidence Index to pop up to 94 in March from 92.2 in February.Continued improvement in the labor market is likely to bolster the index, and we expect business confidence to be somewhat improved given signs of stabilization in the manufacturing sector.

Barclays: We look for the Conference Board’s index of consumer confidence to rebound to 95.0 in the March reading, reversing part of last month’s decline. Both the present situation index and consumer expectations deteriorated in February. While expectations have been on a downtrend over the past 12 months, we expect a rebound in the present situation to help the headline index bounce back at the end of the first quarter
