PDH/PDL Gold Pro is a professional Expert Advisor for XAUUSD (Gold) that trades breakouts of the Previous Day High (PDH), Previous Day Low (PDL), and the Asian, London, and New York session ranges. The system is designed for traders who prefer simple, rule-based price action strategies without indicators, martingale, or grid techniques. The EA places pending orders once per session level per trading day and manages positions automatically with a configurable trailing stop. EA tested on live accounts during recent high-volatility Gold sessions. Risk control and trailing stop optimized for consistency. Tested on Atlas Funded and Vantage standard account.
What's New in V2
- Lot sizing now auto-scales to account balance by default (risk % of balance), so the same settings work sensibly on a $300 account and a $30,000 account without manual adjustment
- Trailing stop now fully respects broker minimum stop-distance rules, eliminating invalid stop-modification rejections
- Improved handling of daily market session gaps (e.g. Gold's daily settlement window) so the EA no longer attempts trade actions while the market is briefly closed
- Margin safety checks now apply to every trade type, including recovery and sweep-reversal entries, not just the initial breakout order
- Passed full automated compliance testing for order volume, stop distance, margin, and market-session validity
Strategy Logic
- Uses Previous Day High & Low, plus Asian, London, and New York session range levels — each level type can be independently enabled or disabled
- Places Buy Stop above / Sell Stop below each enabled level
- Each level follows a structured three-part sequence, not repeated arbitrarily:
- Trade A — Breakout: the initial pending stop order at the level
- Trade B — Recovery (optional): a single structured re-entry if the first breakout stops out, confirmed on a configurable lower timeframe with a price buffer — not a martingale re-entry, uses the same lot-sizing rules as Trade A
- Trade C — Sweep Reversal (optional): a single reversal entry if price sweeps through a level and reverses back within a defined time window — independent of Trades A/B
- Trades only one breakout sequence per side per level per day
- Automatically deletes stale/old pending orders
- Smart placement after market open to avoid broker downtime
Risk Management
- Fixed lot size, or
- Risk-based lot sizing (% of account balance)
- No martingale (lot size never increases after a loss)
- No grid
- No averaging
- Recovery and sweep-reversal entries are single, structured, fixed-rule re-entries — not compounding or unlimited
Trade Management
- Automatic Stop Loss on every trade (breakout, recovery, and sweep-reversal each have their own configurable SL)
- Optional fixed Take Profit, or fully trail-managed exit
- Advanced trailing stop, broker-compliant with minimum stop-distance and tick-size rules
- Fully automated execution across up to four independent session levels

Input Parameters
- Level toggles: PDH/PDL, Asian, London, New York (enable/disable independently)
- Session hour windows for Asian / London / New York ranges and their sweep windows
- Stop Loss, Take Profit (optional), Recovery SL, and Sweep SL — set separately for PDH/PDL and for session levels

Important Notes
- Each level trades its own structured breakout / recovery / sweep-reversal sequence once per day — not unlimited re-entries
- Best results during high volatility periods
- No guarantees — trading involves risk
- Backtests depend on broker data and execution

Below are the backtest settings from 01/01/2025 and if you're testing from more old dates then just change the SL to 50pips and Trailing start to 10-15pips. Since the volatility has increased from 2025 onwards. Recommended settings:-

- Trailing Start (pips) - 25
- Trailing Gap (pips) - 5
- Lot size and Risk percent according to the initial balance/Loss limit
