Score Your Bar Replay in R
- Göstergeler
- Sürüm: 1.0
A bar replay hides the bars you have not reached. This one also prices every virtual entry at the spread its bar recorded and scores the attempt in R, so a trader rehearsing by hand can see what the decision was worth.
WHAT IT DOES
- No look-ahead on the session's bars: a cover hides the bars the replay has not reached.
- The bar's spread: every virtual fill pays the spread stored on the bar, never one you type; a bar with none refuses a market order or a close with NO FILL - BAR SPREAD 0, and a trade open through it stays open.
- No order sent: every order is virtual, and it reads no position and opens no file, so it cannot act on your account, say what a real trade did, or leave a trade record.
- One score in R: the multiple of the stop distance you set, and no figure it prints is money, because it reads no account property, the deposit currency included.
- A trade with no stop still counts: it is counted and not scored, and the deck marks it rather than inventing an R.
- Visible arithmetic: every fill uses the bar's four recorded prices, open, high, low and close, not ticks, and it reads no live quote. A gap past an order fills at the bar's open: a stop that gaps fills on the side worse than its trigger, a limit on the better side.
- Settled the same way every time: when one bar holds both the stop and the target, the stop is taken, unless the bar's open had already met the target.
- Same start every time: it pins a bar on load, prints it in the session line, and RESTART returns to it; it reads no wall clock and raises no alert, notification, mail or sound.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Attach it to the chart you want to rehearse; the session starts at the first bar it copied.
2. Read the four deck values, then click one of the six order buttons: BUY or SELL for a market order, a limit or a stop for a pending at the typed trigger.
3. Pause, step or speed the replay, use CLOSE to exit the newest open trade, and read the score in R.
SETTINGS IN PLAIN WORDS
- The session: bars to replay, 30 to 20000; the wait for one step, 50 to 2000 milliseconds; the cover of the bars not yet replayed, and its colour; the ask line; the corner; the font size; the log rows.
- The order: the virtual volume per order, the stop distance in points with 0 for no stop, the target distance in points with 0 for no target, and the pending trigger.
- VOL, STOP, TARGET and PENDING are read-only on the deck; change them in the properties dialog, and the session restarts at its first bar.
GOOD TO KNOW
- A practice score: not a backtest of a strategy, not a forecast, and one session says nothing about the next.
- A virtual fill is not a real fill: no partial fill, no queue and no rejection, so it cannot say what your broker would have done with that order then.
- Inside a bar the high and the low have no order: the sequence is a convention, not a record.
- The recorded window can be short or revised: a broker's bars can be incomplete or rebuilt, and a short record starts later; the session line prints the bar it used.
