Copy Trader MT5 Trading Capital P copies trades between MetaTrader 5 accounts that run on the same Windows computer or VPS. One download contains both modes: attach it as MASTER on the source account and as SLAVE on every receiving account. The accounts can be at different brokers.
How it works
The Master never trades. It publishes its positions and pending orders to a file in the terminal Common folder, protected by a checksum, so a partially written file is never used. The Slave compares what the Master has open with what it has open and corrects the difference. Because it works on state and not on single events, restarts, reconnections and missed events are resynchronised without duplicate trades and without false closes.
What is copied
- Market positions, with the same SL and TP
- Pending orders: Buy/Sell Limit, Buy/Sell Stop and Stop Limit, including price, SL, TP and expiration changes
- SL and TP modifications
- Partial closes, in the same proportion as on the Master
- Full closes, close by opposite position, and pending order deletion
- When a Master pending order fills before the copy, the copy is entered at market without opening a second trade
Lot size
- Same lot as the Master (default)
- Master lot multiplied by a factor
- Fixed lot
- Proportional to balance or equity (Slave / Master), including cent accounts (USC, EUC)
- Optional maximum lot and contract size adjustment
Symbols at different brokers
- Automatic detection of prefixes and suffixes (EURUSD to EURUSDm, EURUSD.pro, EURUSDz)
- Built-in aliases for common names (GOLD and XAUUSD, US30 and DJ30, NAS100 and USTEC, and others)
- Manual map with the highest priority, for example GOLD=XAUUSD,US30=DJ30
- Include and exclude lists for symbols and magic numbers
Safety
- If the Master stops, disconnects or changes account, the Slave freezes and never closes copies because of it
- Close confirmation, and extra protection when the Master suddenly reports no trades
- Maximum delay and maximum price deviation for new entries
- Free margin, volume limit and pending order limit checks before every request
- Only one Master per channel and one Slave per channel and account on the same computer
- Master and Slave on the same account are detected and blocked
- Different server time zones are handled automatically (expiration times are converted through GMT)
Other features
- Reverse copy (Buy becomes Sell, SL and TP swapped)
- Direction filter and maximum number of simultaneous copies
- Several channels: one Master to many Slaves, or several Masters to one Slave on different charts
- Information panel with status, live copies and copy latency
- CSV log of every action in the Common folder
Requirements
- MetaTrader 5, all terminals on the same Windows computer or VPS
- Hedging accounts on Master and Slave
- Not compatible with the MQL5 virtual hosting, because each hosted terminal is isolated
Quick start
- Attach the EA to any chart of the source account and set Mode = MASTER.
- Attach the EA to any chart of each receiving account and set Mode = SLAVE.
- Use the same Channel name on both. Enable Algo Trading.
- If the Slave broker uses a suffix, the EA usually finds it. Otherwise set the Slave suffix or the manual symbol map.
Strategy Tester
The tester has only one account, so the EA runs a built-in demonstration there: it simulates Master trades and copies them inside the same account (on netting accounts the copy is shown as virtual). Live copying requires two terminals. For a live trial, the 1 month rental option is available.
