Range Detector Boxes draws clean range boxes on your chart and
freezes them only after a confirmed breakout — no repainting,
no fakeout green/red jumps on reload.
KEY FEATURES
• Consolidation box continuation: the box right edge extends while
price stays inside the range, pauses on volatile bars, and
resumes when the range is intact again.
• Confirmed breakout logic: a box is frozen only after a close
at least N points beyond the edge (user-defined), optionally
requiring multiple consecutive closed bars (default 2).
• Fakeout filter: by default only CLOSED bars can confirm a
breakout, so an intrabar spike can no longer paint the box
green — live boxes always match a full reload.
• Overlapping range envelopes merge automatically.
• Deferred range start: new ranges beginning inside a frozen
box are not lost — they are drawn once they clear the frozen
box's right edge.
• Optional "Extend Until New Range Appears" mode keeps the last
broken box sliding to the current bar with zero overlap.
• Shift-proof bar tracking (uses bar TIMES, not indices) so the
indicator keeps advancing on long runs after MT5 drops its
oldest bar.
• Full style control: colors for broken up / broken down /
active boxes, transparent outline-only mode or translucent
fill with adjustable opacity, border width 1–5 px.
• Live refresh timer (default 5 s) guarantees the boxes keep
advancing even on sparse-tick symbols.
