EdgeDriven Multi Asset Portfolio is a multi-market Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5 hedging accounts.

A single EA manages strategies across USDJPY, EURUSD, GBPUSD, Gold, US100 and Bitcoin, using H1, H2 and H4 data. You do not need to run or coordinate eleven separate EAs.

Risk is controlled at portfolio level. Choose Low 2%, Standard 5%, High 10%, or enter your own Custom risk value.

On the USD100,000 Balance-based reference backtest, these settings produced historical maximum equity drawdowns of approximately:

• Low 2% - 4.96%
• Standard 5% - 11.01%
• High 10% - 19.81%

These are historical backtest results, not future loss limits or forecasts.

The portfolio does not use martingale sizing or grid averaging. If a broker's minimum trade size would exceed the risk allowed for a trade, the EA skips that trade instead of increasing risk.

Why multi-asset?

A single market or strategy can behave differently as market conditions change.

This portfolio combines FX, Gold, a US equity index and Bitcoin within one risk framework. The aim is to reduce dependence on a single market or entry model while keeping operation simple.

Fixed portfolio composition:

• USDJPY - 4 modules
• BTCUSD - 3 modules
• EURUSD - 1 module
• GBPUSD - 1 module
• XAUUSD - 1 module
• US100 - 1 module

Timeframes:

• H1 - 5 modules
• H2 - 2 modules
• H4 - 4 modules

Each module receives an equal share of the portfolio's initial risk budget.

Diversification does not eliminate risk. Markets can become correlated and several modules can lose at the same time.

Choose risk by drawdown tolerance

Reference: Production backtest from 8 May 2017 to 30 June 2026, USD100,000 initial deposit, Balance-based sizing, 1:100 leverage, one-minute OHLC, custom symbols and reference trading costs.

Historical drawdown is not a future maximum-loss guarantee.

Low is intended for users who prefer smaller position sizes and lower historical drawdown.

Standard is the default setting and provides a middle ground between portfolio participation and historical drawdown.

High is intended for users who are comfortable with substantially larger drawdowns.

Custom lets you enter your own percentage directly, for example 3.0% or 6.5%.

The normal reference range is 2-10%. Selected stress tests between 0.55% and 20% were also performed on the USD100,000 Balance reference account. This does not mean every value, account size or broker environment will behave identically.

How risk control works

The selected Portfolio Risk is divided across the eleven modules.

For each trade, position size is calculated from:

• the selected Balance or Equity base
• entry price
• stop-loss distance
• the broker's contract and volume specifications

The EA also checks risk from its own open positions and pending orders before allowing additional exposure.

If the broker's minimum lot would exceed the allowed risk, the EA skips the trade instead of increasing lot size.

Changing Portfolio Risk changes position sizing. It does not change the underlying signal logic, stop-loss formula or portfolio membership.

Actual trade participation can still change because of minimum lot sizes, margin requirements, rounding and already-open positions. Returns and drawdowns therefore do not scale perfectly with the selected percentage.

Balance uses closed account balance for sizing and is the default.

Equity includes floating profit and loss when calculating position size.

Historical production evidence

All results below are Production Backtests, not live or forward performance.

Development, Validation and Final were performed using the original 1.10% validation profile. They are separate historical phases and should not be interpreted as 5% tests.

The Combined result uses the current Standard 5% setting and covers the full period. Because it overlaps the three phases above, it is not an additional independent sample.

Results can differ between brokers because of spreads, commissions, swaps, symbol specifications, margin rules and execution. One-minute OHLC simulation cannot reproduce every live tick or fill.

There is currently no dedicated public live or forward record for this product.

News and weekend controls

For guarded markets, live operation uses the native MT5 Economic Calendar with caching and failure handling.

If required calendar data is unavailable or stale, new entries for affected modules are blocked rather than silently trading without the guard.

BTCUSD modules are not filtered by the economic-news guard.

The portfolio also includes defined Friday/weekend controls and is not designed for continuous weekend Bitcoin trading.

News controls, stop losses and weekend rules cannot prevent every gap, execution failure or market shock.

Account size and broker compatibility

USD100,000 is the reference backtest balance. It is not a minimum required deposit.

Smaller accounts can behave differently because a broker's minimum lot may be too large for the selected risk.

When this happens, the EA skips the trade instead of exceeding the risk allowance. If many trades are skipped, the effective portfolio can differ from the reference backtest, especially for Bitcoin, Gold and index modules.

Tests on USD10,000, USD25,000 and USD50,000 accounts covered risk settings between 0.55% and 2.20%. The published 5% and 10% reference results should not be assumed to apply directly to those account sizes.

Symbol compatibility

Broker symbol names vary.

The EA supports automatic detection of common aliases and broker prefixes/suffixes. Each of the six markets also supports manual symbol mapping.

• BTCUSD / XBTUSD
• broker-specific FX suffixes

All six markets are required to reproduce Full Portfolio Mode.

If a market is unavailable, the affected modules remain inactive while available modules can continue operating. Risk assigned to an unavailable module is not redistributed to the others.

Setup

1. Install the free Market demo and run the EA in MT5 Strategy Tester.
2. Check the six detected symbol mappings and adjust manual overrides if needed.
3. Confirm that you are using a hedging account.
4. Select your Risk Mode and Risk Base.
5. Review Strategy Tester results, Experts log and module participation.
6. After purchase or rental, attach one EA instance to one chart and keep MT5 connected with Algo Trading enabled.

The attached chart timeframe does not control the internal strategies. The EA reads H1, H2 and H4 data internally.

You do not need eleven charts or eleven EA instances.

It is not intended for users who expect guaranteed monthly profits, zero drawdown or identical results across all brokers.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a martingale or grid EA?
No. The portfolio does not use loss-recovery lot escalation or grid averaging. Multiple fixed modules can trade the same market independently, but this is not a recovery basket.

Do I need eleven charts?
No. One EA instance manages all eleven modules.

Can I change the risk?
Yes. Choose Low, Standard or High, or enter a Custom Portfolio Risk value.

Is USD100,000 required?
No. It is the reference backtest balance. Smaller accounts can be used, but minimum lot and margin constraints may change trade participation.

What if my broker uses GOLD instead of XAUUSD, or USTEC instead of US100?
The EA supports automatic detection of common aliases and manual overrides.

What happens if my broker does not offer one of the six markets?
The relevant modules remain inactive. The EA can continue operating with available markets, but this is not the same portfolio tested in the published Full Portfolio results.

Does the news guard guarantee protection from news losses?
No. It controls exposure around specified scheduled events on guarded markets. It cannot eliminate gaps, slippage, unscheduled news or execution risk.

Why might my trades differ from the published backtest?
Broker data, spreads, swaps, commissions, contract specifications, execution timing, margin, lot rounding and skipped trades can all create differences.

Does BTC trade throughout the weekend?
No. BTC modules follow the portfolio's weekend controls.

Do I need a VPS?
Not strictly, but continuous terminal availability is important for automated trading. A VPS can help maintain uptime.

How can I get support?
Use MQL5 Comments or MQL5 Messages. Include the EA version, settings, broker symbol names and relevant log extracts. Never send account passwords or credentials.
