# Economic News Panel — Free Calendar & No-Trade Zone Indicator
**Know when NOT to trade — at a glance.**
Economic News Panel is a lightweight, non-repainting tool that puts MetaTrader 5's built-in Economic Calendar directly on your chart. No manual calendar checking, no external websites, no WebRequest or third-party API required — it reads straight from MT5's native calendar database.
## What it does
The panel shows, in real time:
- Whether it's currently **OK TO TRADE** or you're inside a **DO NOT TRADE** zone
- A live countdown to the next relevant news release (or to when it's safe to trade again)
- A list of upcoming news events, color-coded by impact (High / Medium / Low)
When a high or medium impact release is approaching, the panel switches to a red warning with the event name, and automatically blocks the zone for a configurable number of minutes before *and* after the release — exactly the window most traders are told to avoid.

## Currency filter — the important part
By default the indicator watches **USD** news. But you don't have to touch this for every chart:
> **Leave the "Currencies" input empty and the indicator automatically detects both the base and quote currency of whichever symbol it's attached to.**
Drop it on EURUSD → it watches EUR and USD. Drop it on GBPJPY → it watches GBP and JPY. Drop it on XAUUSD → it watches USD. One indicator, every pair, zero manual setup — or set your own currency list manually (e.g. `EUR,USD`) if you prefer full control.

## Requirements
