### Overview
A level where several independent references converge is worth more than the sum of its parts: if an important swing, a proportional retracement, a round number and a long period moving average all fall in the same price band, that band draws the attention of different groups of operators and is far more likely to produce a reaction. This indicator computes the four families and searches for their overlaps, assigning a point to each band for every family falling inside it. Only bands gathering at least the required minimum number of references are drawn. The advantage is not finding more levels, but finding fewer: a chart with two confluence zones is far more useful than one with twenty indistinguishable lines, and the selection is made on an explicit criterion rather than by intuition.
### How the calculation works
1. The price range of the window is split into bands, and every reference contributes to the band it falls into.
2. First family: all confirmed swings inside the window, both highs and lows.
3. Second family: proportional retracements of the whole window at the classic technical analysis proportions.
4. Third family: the round numbers falling inside the window, with an automatically computed step.
5. Fourth family: the current value of the long period moving average.
6. Only bands scoring at or above InpMinScore are drawn, and per side only the highest scoring one.
### How to use it
- Treat confluence zones as the most reliable levels on the chart: they are where the attention of several operator groups converges.
- The absence of zones means references are scattered: in that phase no level holds a particular edge.
- Raise InpMinScore to three or four to select only the strongest confluences, accepting an often empty chart.
- Confluence zones are excellent references both for targets and for placing stops just beyond them.
- Check which family contributes most on that market: on some instruments round numbers matter, on others they do not.
### Who it is for and on which timeframes
It targets traders already using several level identification methods who want to automate their intersection, an operation that takes a long time by hand. It works from M30 to D1. It is the most computationally demanding of the category, because it generates four level families for every bar. It requires at least passing familiarity with all four families, otherwise the score becomes a black box instead of a verifiable intersection.
### Practical example of reading a signal
On NASDAQ100 H4 the confluence zone above price sits at 18450. That band simultaneously contains a swing high formed three weeks earlier, the sixty one per cent retracement of the last bearish leg, the round number 18450 and the current value of the hundred period average: four references out of four. Price rises towards that zone and stalls there for six sessions before managing to clear it. Within the same window eight other swings exist, but none coincides with other references and the indicator correctly does not draw them.

## Advantages / strengths
- It automates an intersection between different methods that would take a long time by hand on every chart.
- The selection happens on an explicit, verifiable criterion rather than on intuition.
- The four families are deliberately independent, so convergence is informative.
- The chart stays clean: at most two zones at a time, and only when they deserve to be drawn.
## Limitations and warnings
- Generating four level families on every bar is computationally heavy on long histories.
- The families carry equal weight, but on different markets their actual relevance varies a lot.
- The retracements are computed on the whole window rather than on the last leg, an approximation making them less precise.
- The band subdivision can separate two nearby references falling into adjacent bands.
**No repaint:** values printed on a closed bar are never modified afterwards.
