MAKO Vector
MAKO Vector is a read-only market-state utility for MetaTrader 5. It analyzes the symbol and timeframe of the current chart and presents the current structural condition in a compact visual panel.
The utility does not open, close, or modify trades. It does not manage orders, positions, stop losses, take profits, or account risk. Its purpose is to provide a clear description of the market structure currently visible on the chart.
Market State
MAKO Vector classifies the current chart into one of the following states:
- BULLISH: confirmed higher swing highs and higher swing lows remain in control.
- BEARISH: confirmed lower swing highs and lower swing lows remain in control.
- TRANSITION: the confirmed structure is mixed, or the live price has invalidated the current structure before an opposite structure is confirmed.
- WAITING: the chart does not yet contain enough data for a valid structural reading.
Live Phase
The panel also identifies the current phase inside the market structure:
- IMPULSE: price is extending in the direction of the established structure.
- PULLBACK: price is correcting against the established structure while the structural frame remains valid.
- DEEP PULLBACK: the correction has reached the configured proportion of the previous impulse.
- REVERSAL WATCH: the live price has crossed the latest structural invalidation level, but the opposite structure is not yet confirmed.
- WAITING: insufficient data is available.
How It Works
MAKO Vector uses the median price of each bar, calculated as:
Median Price = (High + Low) / 2
Confirmed median-price swings create the structural frame. The current live median price is then compared with that confirmed structure to determine the active market state and phase.
A live break of the latest structural level does not immediately change the market from bullish to bearish, or from bearish to bullish. The panel first displays TRANSITION and REVERSAL WATCH until an opposite structural frame is confirmed.
The analysis is performed on the symbol and timeframe of the chart where the utility is attached.

Input Parameters
- Market Bars: number of historical bars used to search for the recent structural frame.
- Swing Depth: number of neighboring bars required to confirm a median-price swing.
- Refresh Seconds: panel refresh interval in seconds.
- Panel Width: width of the information panel.
- Panel X: horizontal distance from the chart edge.
- Panel Y: vertical distance from the top of the chart.
- Chart Gap: distance reserved between the price area and the panel.
- Draggable: enables or disables manual panel movement.
- Deep Pullback Ratio: proportion of the previous impulse used to classify a correction as a deep pullback.
The default Deep Pullback Ratio is 0.65.
Installation
- Open any chart in MetaTrader 5.
- Select the desired symbol and timeframe.
- Attach MAKO Vector to the chart.
- Adjust the input parameters if required.
- Drag the panel to another position if desired.
MAKO Vector is an analytical and descriptive utility. It does not provide automatic trade execution and does not intervene in broker orders.
