Aurex Resistance & Support Dynamic PRO
An adaptive support/resistance zone indicator built on swing-pivot detection, ATR-scaled zone sizing, volume validation, and an automated mitigation protocol that removes zones once they've been invalidated.
Zone detection
Zones are anchored to confirmed swing highs and swing lows (symmetric pivot window, default length 10). Each zone's thickness is derived from a 50-period ATR rather than a fixed pip/point value, so zone width automatically adapts to the current volatility regime of the symbol and timeframe.
Volume validation
Optional filter that only creates a zone if the pivot bar's volume exceeds its 20-period volume average. This filters out low-participation swing points that are statistically less likely to act as meaningful structure.
Overlap control
New zones are rejected if their center falls within a configurable multiple of ATR from an existing zone's center, preventing zone clutter in ranging or choppy conditions.
Mitigation protocol
Each zone tracks a strike count. A "strike" occurs when price closes through the zone in the direction opposite its original bias, at which point the zone flips role (resistance becomes support, or vice versa). Once a zone accumulates a configurable number of strikes, it is automatically deleted — a form of garbage collection that keeps only structurally relevant zones on the chart rather than accumulating historical clutter.
Alpha decay (optional)
Zone opacity and edge color fade progressively with age (based on bars elapsed since creation), giving a visual cue for how "stale" a zone is without needing to remove it outright.
Alert system
Independent toggles for top/bottom touch alerts on both support and resistance zones, with a per-zone anti-flood guard so a single touch doesn't fire repeated alerts within the same bar.

Compatibility
Works on any symbol and timeframe. Calculation is pivot-based (only confirmed, non-repainting swing points generate zones); live zone updates (touch detection, mitigation, decay) run on the current forming bar.
Intended use
Designed to supplement structure-based entry methods — combine with trend/structure confirmation (e.g. BOS/CHoCH) or your existing bias model rather than trading zone touches in isolation.
