Straddle AI is a fully automated Expert Advisor engineered for Forex, Indices, and Commodities, with primary optimization for XAUUSD (Gold).

Attach it and go with Basic Mode, or opt in to the full adaptive engine — your call, and it's a single switch either way.

1. Catches the Move in Either Direction
It doesn't pick a side. It positions itself ahead of the market and gets in whichever way price breaks. Most EAs require a directional bias — this one doesn't need one. It is always prepared regardless of which way the market moves. This is the core mechanism in both Basic Mode and the AI Adaptive Engine.

2. Two Modes: Reliable by Default, Adaptive When You Want It
Basic Mode runs the straddle with fixed, predictable parameters — the same entry distance, target, and trail every time, so you always know exactly what the EA is going to do. Turn on the AI Adaptive Engine and a real-time decision layer takes over: it reads current market conditions on every tick and adjusts how far entries are placed, how wide the profit target is, when to lock in gains, when to tighten the trail, and when to hold back and let a winner run. When the market is calm it trades conservatively; when it's moving strongly it gives trades more room. Either way, once a trade is placed, the EA manages it end to end with no input from you.

3. Trailing and Exit Logic
In Basic Mode, once a trade fills, the EA locks in a protective stop and trails it at a fixed distance — simple, consistent, easy to predict. Break-even lock-in is available as an optional toggle. With the AI Adaptive Engine turned on, exits are managed live: the EA reads momentum on every tick and decides whether to hold the trail wide and let the trade run, or tighten immediately to protect gains before a reversal, with break-even and multi-stage trailing built in.

4. Automatic Risk Guard
Monitors lot size against account balance continuously. Warns when risk is elevated, auto-stops and closes if it becomes dangerous, then self-resumes once corrected. Runs entirely on the EA side with no external dependency, in both Basic Mode and the AI Adaptive Engine.

5. Asset Auto-Detection (AI Adaptive Engine)
Turn on the AI Adaptive Engine and it identifies the instrument from the symbol name and loads the right configuration automatically — Gold, Silver, Oil, major Indices, Forex, Crypto — no manual setup per instrument. In Basic Mode, entry/target/trail distances are fixed values you set once, so if you're running Basic Mode across multiple instruments with very different price scales (e.g. XAUUSD alongside NAS100 or BTCUSD), size those inputs per symbol yourself, or switch that chart to the AI Adaptive Engine for automatic per-instrument configuration.

6. High-Impact News Handling
Basic Mode includes a straightforward news filter: tell it which releases to sit out (NFP, CPI, FOMC, or any release you name) and it stands aside for a window before and after, keeping any resting bracket safely re-centered so it can't get triggered early by pre-news drift. Turn on the AI Adaptive Engine for the fuller version: it detects upcoming high-impact events automatically, reads current volatility beforehand, and adapts how it positions — tighter when conditions are calm, wider when the market's already moving — timing the entry to catch the spike and manage the trade through the post-news volatility.

7. Never Abandons an Open Trade
If the EA is removed, updated, or reattached while a trade is open, it finds the position and resumes full management automatically — in either mode. No trade is ever left unmanaged after an update or reconnect.

8. Clean, Predictable Backtesting
The Strategy Tester always runs Basic Mode, regardless of your settings — so backtest results are clean, repeatable, and comparable across runs. Going live does not automatically switch you to the AI Adaptive Engine — that stays under your control. If you want the adaptive engine live, you turn it on deliberately; if you don't touch that switch, your live results will match what you saw in the backtest.

• Tight or Low / RAW Spread / ECN Account is Recommended. Standard or fixed spread accounts will affect performance significantly. Always use a RAW or ECN account for best results. You can use the the standard account in IC Markets which offers very tight spread, no commissions and closer to the Raw account.
• Basic Settings is on by default and is what the Strategy Tester always runs — backtest results reflect this fixed-parameter baseline. The AI Adaptive Engine only runs live or on demo, and only once you turn it on; it is not automatic. Backtest results won't show AI Adaptive Engine behavior, since that layer only exists once enabled on a connected chart.
• Start small. Begin at 0.01 lot per $300 of account balance. Do not increase lot size until you are comfortable with how the EA behaves on your broker.
• Losses are part of trading. Every strategy has losing trades. What matters is performance over time, not a single trade. Stay patient, trust the process, and avoid changing settings after a loss.
• Trade at the right time. The London/New York overlap session gives the most consistent conditions for this strategy. Basic Mode ships with the Overlap session selected by default; the AI Adaptive Engine has its own equivalent setting.
• Set a daily target and respect it. Decide how much you want to make or protect each day. Once that level is hit, stop the EA for the session. Discipline compounds over time.
• Always test on demo first. Run the EA on a demo account for at least a few days before going live. Every broker behaves slightly differently — demo testing on your actual broker is the best preparation.
• No complex setup required. If you are a beginner, attach it to XAUUSD or NAS100(Optional) with default settings and it runs immediately in Basic Mode. The only thing you need to set is your lot size relative to your balance. Everything else is handled automatically. The AI Adaptive Engine is there when you're ready for it — one switch, fully optional.
