XAUUSD FibTrend EA — Trend-Following Fibonacci Retracement Expert Advisor for Gold
XAUUSD FibTrend is a fully automated Expert Advisor developed for Gold (XAUUSD). It trades in the direction of the prevailing trend and uses Fibonacci retracements of the most recent price impulse to time its entries. Every trade is protected by a hard stop loss from the moment it is placed.
Strategy logic
- Trend filter — a fast EMA versus a slow EMA on the closed bar defines the trade direction.
- Momentum filter — the close must sit in the correct half of the Bollinger Bands without touching the outer band, confirming momentum while leaving room for the pullback.
- Fibonacci entry — the EA measures the latest swing impulse over a configurable lookback. The impulse must be consistent with the trend and exceed a minimum size (a multiple of ATR) so that Fibonacci levels are never drawn on noise.
- Flexible execution — three entry modes: Stop order on the breakout of the swing, Limit order at the Fibonacci retracement level, or Market entry when price is already within tolerance of the level.
- Adaptive risk management — Stop Loss and Take Profit are calculated as multiples of ATR, so they automatically adapt to current volatility. An optional trailing stop (ATR-based or point-based) locks in profits as the trade develops.
