Midpoint Magnet MT5 — Precision Equilibrium Indicator (SMC / ICT)
Midpoint Magnet MT5 is a professional automation tool for traders working with Smart Money Concepts (SMC) and ICT methodology. The indicator automatically detects institutional order flow imbalances (FVG — Fair Value Gap), identifies the true start of an impulse using a strict fractal algorithm, and plots a dynamic 50% level (Equilibrium) that acts as a powerful magnet for price.
Key advantages of Midpoint Magnet:
True Multi-Timeframe (MTF): Analyze structure and FVGs on the H1 timeframe while comfortably trading intraday on M5 or M15. The indicator calculates data strictly on the timeframe selected in settings.
Perfectly clean chart (No More Clutter): No more chaos. The indicator strictly follows one rule: no more than one active line per direction. A new strong impulse automatically overrides and replaces the old one.
"Smart" history: As soon as price touches the 50% level (target reached), the bold active line instantly turns into a thin dotted line. You always see the history of completed targets without it cluttering your current market view.
Extreme optimization (Zero Lag): Written to the highest MQL5 coding standards. No heavy recalculation of the entire history on every tick. The indicator uses a dynamic offset algorithm (ObjectMove). Forget the "indicator is too slow" error — this tool runs smoothly even on weak PCs and during high volatility (e.g. on crypto markets).
How it works:
Impulse confirmation: The indicator waits for the FVG candle to close and strictly confirms the close of the candle following it, filtering out market noise.
Finding the 0% point: The algorithm scans backward through history to find the nearest confirmed fractal. This point is rock-solid — it never repaints or shifts.
Tracking: The 50% line dynamically extends as the market moves. If price makes a new impulse extreme, the indicator recalculates the level, forming an elegant "staircase" pattern on the chart.
Completion: When price touches the level, you get an instant alert, and the line switches to archive mode.
Main input parameters:
Calculation timeframe (calc_tf): Choose any timeframe for FVG and fractal detection.
Fractal length (frac_len): Number of candles on each side required to confirm a true extreme.
Lookback depth (lkb): How many candles back to search for the impulse start.
Minimum FVG size (fvg_min_pct): Filters out small, inefficient imbalances (as % of price).
Time filter (Session control): Configure trading sessions (time_from / time_to) and maximum line lifetime in days (max_days). Full control over intraday trades.
Style customization: Set colors for bullish and bearish scenarios, and active line thickness.
Show FVG zone — toggle FVG zone display
FVG lifetime (bars) — number of bars before the zone fades; 0 = never fades
FVG transparency — fill opacity (0 = solid, 100 = invisible)
