SI Ruler
A clean, one-click price ruler that shows points and exact dollar cost between any two levels on your chart.
Every trader needs to quickly measure the distance between two price levels and know what it costs in real money. Most platforms make this harder than it should be. SI Ruler puts a single icon in the corner of your chart — click it, click your entry level, and drag to your stop or target. The label tells you instantly how many points that distance is and exactly what it costs in dollars for your chosen lot size.
How to Use
- Click the 📏 icon in the top left corner of the chart — it lights up blue when active
- Click anywhere on the chart to place your anchor point — a dotted line marks the level
- Move your mouse — a live line draws from the anchor tracking your cursor, with the measurement label updating in real time
- Click a second time to lock the measurement in place
- Click the icon again to clear everything and start a new measurement
What the Label Shows
- Points — the exact distance between the two price levels in points with ▲ or ▼ direction indicator
- Dollar cost — the exact dollar value of that distance for your set lot size (e.g. $47.20 @ 0.10 lots)
- Risk lot size — optionally shows the exact lot size needed to risk a set percentage of your account balance over that distance (set RiskPercent in the inputs)
The label colour turns green when measuring upward and red when measuring downward so direction is immediately clear at a glance.
Settings

Notes
- Runs as an indicator — attach it to any chart and it sits quietly in the corner without interfering with any EAs running on the same chart
- Works on any symbol and timeframe. The dollar cost calculation uses the live tick value from your broker so the numbers are accurate for the instrument you are measuring on
- The ruler stays on the chart after locking so you can refer back to your measurement. Clicking the icon clears it and resets for a new measurement
- Multiple measurements can be taken in sequence — each new anchor click replaces the previous measurement
