The Dual WMA Entry System is a clean, no-nonsense indicator that plots two Weighted Moving Averages directly on your price chart and automatically detects low-momentum (sideways) market conditions.
WMA1 is calculated on the open price with a slight offset and acts as a trend bias line.
WMA2 is calculated on the close price and acts as a momentum confirmation line.
When the distance between the two WMAs narrows, the market is entering consolidation. During these periods, candles are automatically coloured grey to warn you that conditions are not ideal for trading.
How to Use
Step 1 — Read the band width
Grey candles indicate that the two WMAs are too close together. The market is ranging and signals are less reliable. Wait for coloured candles to return before considering entries.
Step 2 — Identify the trend
When WMA2 (blue) is above WMA1 (white), momentum is bullish.
When WMA2 is below WMA1, momentum is bearish.
Look for trade opportunities in the direction of the crossover.
Step 3 — Adjust sensitivity

WMA1 Length / WMA2 Length — Higher values produce smoother, slower lines. Lower values react faster to price changes. Start with the default settings (10/8) and adjust according to your timeframe.

WMA1 Offset / WMA2 Offset — Shifts the WMA forward or backward in time. An offset of 1 on WMA1 slightly reduces lag on the trend line.

Minimum Band Width (%) — Defines how wide the gap between WMAs must be before candles are coloured. Increase this value in choppy markets to filter more noise. Decrease it if too many candles are being filtered out.
