Supertrend Catcher (MT5 Indicator)
A clean, visual “smart structure” indicator that helps you spot momentum shifts fast.
It draws recent Order Blocks (OB) with Break of Structure (BOS), a dynamic baseline (support/resistance), entry/SL/TP suggestions, and a compact info panel. It now includes real-time alerts (terminal/push/sound) when a fresh signal appears.
Why traders like it
- Clear structure at a glance: BOS lines + filled OB zones show where price imbalanced and where it may return.
- Actionable cues: Suggested Entry / Stop / Target are computed automatically (non-repainting lines once printed on a closed bar).
- Minimal noise: Uses ATR impulse and optional FVG filter to avoid weak “breaks”.
- Always a baseline: If no valid OB is present, it falls back to the latest swing pivot so you still have a reference level.
- Lightweight panel, top-left: Key context (symbol/TF, trend, suggested levels, ATR, spread).
- Alerts built-in: Terminal pop-up, optional push notification, and sound when a new signal is created.
This is an indicator (not an EA). It suggests levels and alerts — trade execution/management is up to you.
What it draws
- OB Zones (green/red boxes) with BOS dotted lines.
- Baseline from the chosen source (OB or swing pivot), drawn as a horizontal line or a right-ray trend.
- Arrows at BOS and base candle (optional).
- Suggested Entry/SL/TP lines with price labels.
How signals are formed
- Detect recent swing structure and confirm BOS (close-based or wick-based).
- Optionally require an FVG near the break and/or a minimum impulse vs ATR.
- Build the baseline from the OB (preferred) or the swing fallback.
- Propose Entry (top/mid/bottom of the OB, or pivot), SL via ATR offset, and TP via user-defined R:R.
- Alert fires once a new signal is created (throttled by your MinBarsBetweenSignals).

Tips & workflow
- Multi-TF confluence: Attach one instance on the current TF and another with SignalTF=H1/H4 to align lower-TF entries with higher-TF structure.
- Execution plan: Use suggested Entry/SL/TP as a template. Adjust to your broker spread/commission and volatility.
- Cleaner charts: Turn off swing dots (DebugDrawSwings=false) once you’re comfortable.
- Performance: Keep LookbackBars reasonable (e.g., 600–1200) for speed.

FAQ
Q: Does it repaint?
A: The indicator bases signals on closed bars (for BOS and OB detection). Once printed, OB/BOS/baseline and suggested lines won’t jump around. New information can add newer OBs as the market evolves.
Q: I don’t get push notifications.
A: In MT5, open Tools → Options → Notifications, tick Enable Push Notifications, enter your MetaQuotes ID, and ensure EnablePush=true in the inputs.
Q: Too many alerts in chop.
A: Increase MinBarsBetweenSignals, raise MinImpulse_ATR, or require RequireFVG=true.
Q: Panel overlaps my chart buttons.
A: Change PanelCorner and tweak PanelX/Y and PanelWidth/Height.
