Fair Value Gap SMC EA is an automated Expert Advisor for the MT5 trading platform that basically scans the current market conditions and environment, gets un-mitigated imbalances, or so called Fair Value Gaps, draws these levels on the chart, and trades them accordingly.
For instance, if it finds a bullish FVG, it draws the box for visualization purposes, assigns it the color dodger blue to indicate we anticipate a buy position and reversal momentum, and then if price reverts to the drawn box length, we open a Buy position, with a take profit target at the far side of the box, and a stop loss level based on your chosen Risk:Reward Ratio. Once a setup is traded, its box is recoloured to show it has been mitigated. An optional trailing stop is also included to help lock in profits.
NB: The EA was developed on XAUUSD/Gold, and the defaults are meant for a 3-digit chart (e.g. 7011.123). For a 2-digit chart (e.g. 7011.12), divide every point-based input by ten, so a Min FVG Size of 7000 becomes 700, a Trailing Distance of 300 becomes 30, and a Trailing Activation of 1000 becomes 100. The EA measures distances in points, not pips, so inputs should be scaled to the symbol's digit count. When running several instances, give each one a different magic number so they don't collide. Backtesting and optimization are still recommended to find the settings that favour your trading style. Enjoy.
