Good day everyone. Today I would like to introduce you a smart trend following quantitative EA (Trend Quant EA) for Gold and other volatility instruments such as Silver, Oil and volatility stocks which I made from extracting from various years trading experiences. Besides, this EA brings you the maximum flexible in settings, when you get used to, you can win in any market condition. The EA trading style is trend following, it finds entries by scanning various factors and participate with more than 13 main pre-defined rules. No grid, no martingale, this EA sniper and open only one shot per time, not expose too much to market (average 5 days EA opens 3 trades).

About AI confirmation (optional), this EA does NOT use AI to PREDICT market, it use AI to confirm the trend by logically hard-coded prompt instruction, then to prevent the risk of reversal. API is pre-paid, highest model, DM me after purchase for instruction to use AI confirmation. With precise methods to filter out unquality signals, the EA only take entries after more than 13 main  quantitative rules qualified, but never too late by executing the Over-extended smart function which will be explained in the Manual Instruction. EA MANUAL INSTRUCTION:

1.     Volume, Risk Management: 1. AI comfirmation, turn off to run backtest. Even in non-AI mode, the EA manages profit & risk well . 2. Risk per trade by % of balance, 3. Max trades per day, 4. Stop loss & take profit in points (default is for 2 digits, 3 digits add one more 0), set the stop loss always smaller than take profit.

2.     Propfirm balance protection: max daily drawdown of balance, auto reset on new day.

3.     Trailing stop: trailing start at profit and trailing distance, in points.

4.     Break Even: after reach points of profit, set stop loss to break even.

5.     Time filter: because first dozens minute of the day prices are usually different per broker so I place a time filter.

6.     Strong trend multiplier lot: when the trend is strong , this setting allow us to multiplier lot by a number (x1.2, x2.0, …). Strong trend is defined by a precise quantitative technique. Personally, I recommend to use this function, use x1.2, or x2.0.

7.     Private logics and Scanning timeframe: should leave at H1. Change to smaller TF if the market move shorter like pre-2020 and 2024. If private timeframes smaller or equal M15, for example M15 here, change Scanning timeframe to smaller for instance M5. With scanning timeframe is M15, each new M15 bar the EA will scan for entry.

8.     Bollinger Band filter: set the number of candles, deviation, or leave default.

9.     Moving average (Important): If you already have your favorite MA’s setting, no problem. But if you would like to maximize profit, making a right setting is prefered, or leave as default. Tips for set MA:

a.      The market usually have strong trends: Prices move clearly in one direction at a time, with Little deep correction. Tips: use shorter period MAs and smaller timeframes. Example: Short MAs ( 14, 20, 22, 27) timeframe M15, will react quickly to price fluctuations.

b.     Sideways market: Prices fluctuate within a narrow range, with no clear trend. Tips: Increase the period MA or increase the timeframe to H4. Example: period 50 timeframe H4.

c.      Usually High Volatility Market: Prices fluctuate with large and sudden swings. Tips: Consider using medium moving averages to keep up with the volatility. Example: period 20->27, timeframe M30/H1.

10.  ATR momentum: this function when ON requires an increasing in volatility (ATR values).

11. Demarker: a better alternative of RSI, set the overbought and oversold level

12. ADX filter: this function filter out low no-trend period (no-trend = no trade).

13.  ADX 2: filter out no-trend in a even smaller timeframe.

14. Over-extend filter: this function means if in X nearest candles, there are equal or more than Y candles are same direction, the EA will not trade. For example within 11 nearest candles if there are 9 bull candles, the EA will not open Buy order. This function prevent you from buy/sell at peak/dip. Ideal stats: (M15): 10/8, 11/9, 12/10, 82/48to53

15.  Sideway filter: if x candles sideway in y range, the EA will not open order when there is. It should be like 10 nearest candles sideway in minium 1000 points range, mean if 10 nearest candles moved below 1000 points = no trade.

16.  Daily range reached filter: another quantitative filter, this function allow you to set the highest reached range’s percent (high of D1 – low of D1 = range) of averaged n-days range. For example, Average 13-nearest D1’s range is 10,000 pips for Gold, today moved 8,000 pips = 80% of average range, if you set the percent at 79, in this case no open trade.   

17.  Date Limitation: day in the week no trade.

18.  Imbalance check: quant method, check the bull/bear imbalance. If bull larger than bear more than a defined ratio (default 1.38) and vice versa, no trade. OFF by default cause not every year effective.

19.  Miscellaneous: Around Non-farm,CPI avoidance, Extra trade if loss first trade (optional), Directions blockade, Spread Filter, magic number and comment.  

ACCOUNT AND BROKER REQUIREMENT

v Broker: should be XCCY exchange brokers like Fpmarket, Fxtrading.com to maximize experience.

v Timeframe: does not matter, the EA monitor automatically

v Account: best ECN, Raw account, low spread…

v Leverage: 1:50 minium

v Balance: min 300$, best >1000$

NOTE: If you’re looking for an open EA, allow you to modify defined rules but also got some good set files, this EA is for you. Besides, this EA doesn’t tip history, as a result, its only weighted 90KB. Default EA’s setting is for Gold current time.

RECOMMEND: Run on demo account at least 2 weeks to decide setting’s parameters. The default parameter is fine for most but when applied for real trading you can optimize 2-3 recent months to find best trailing stop parameters. Optimize 6-7 recent months to find bollinger band parameters but its period should be 20or21or22. Other parameter should be overall stable.
