■ HOW IT TRADES
- Reads the daily structure of gold and trades only in the direction of the dominant higher-timeframe trend.
- Skips the days and the conditions that historically worked against it. Most days that means one or two trades, some days none at all. The selectivity is the edge.
- Every position opens with a hard stop-loss sized to gold's real daily volatility, so the risk per trade stays constant in calm markets and in wild ones.
- Winning trades are secured at break-even and then protected by a tight trailing stop.
- All positions are closed before the daily market halt and before the weekend. No overnight gaps, no weekend gaps.
■ HOW IT WAS BUILT
This engine was not drawn on a chart, it was mined from data.
- 240 million real ticks of XAUUSD covering 2022 to 2026, tick by tick, not modelled bars. The period deliberately includes both faces of gold: the choppy trendless 2022-2023 market and the strong 2024-2026 bull run.
- More than twenty separate hypotheses were tested and measured: mean reversion, liquidity sweeps, short-timeframe breakouts, session opening ranges, round numbers, re-entry mechanisms, hedging recovery, time stops, partial closes, several trailing schemes, momentum and volatility filters, and a dollar-correlation filter. Most of them were rejected.
- Every parameter was selected on the 2022-2024 data only, then verified untouched on 2025-2026. Anything that looked brilliant in the first half and failed in the second half was deleted, no matter how good the total looked.
- Every published number comes from the MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester in "every tick based on real ticks" mode, history quality 100%, on a real broker feed with real spread and commission.

■ THE HONEST PART
The weakest period was the choppy 2022-2023 market. The longest losing streak in the test was 11 trades in a row. A month can close red. Expect it, plan for it, and size your risk accordingly. Past performance does not guarantee future results.
■ BEFORE YOU BACKTEST
The engine trades a specific session window, so the Strategy Tester needs to know your broker's clock. In live trading the offset is detected automatically and you do not have to do anything. For a backtest, set the input "Backtest only: your broker's GMT offset in hours":
- Open Market Watch and look at your broker's server time, then compare it with UTC time.
- Enter the difference: 0 for a UTC broker, 2 or 3 for most European brokers, and so on.
- Symbol XAUUSD, timeframe M1, model "Every tick based on real ticks".
■ RISK CONTROL YOU OWN
- Risk per trade as a percentage of balance, or a fixed lot.
- Prop-firm mode: one open trade at a time, for strict drawdown rules.
- Close mode: daily flat (the default and the tested one), weekly, or stop-loss and trailing only.
- Break-even and trailing distance are adjustable. The defaults are the tested optimum, and changing them changes the tested behaviour.
■ BUILT TO RUN ANYWHERE
- Broker-independent: reads the symbol digits, tick value, lot limits, stop level and filling mode at runtime.
- Detects the broker GMT offset automatically in live trading, so the session window is correct on any server and in any timezone.
- Asynchronous order sending, safe retries on rejection, and a guaranteed protective stop on every position.
- A live on-chart dashboard shows the engine status, the market context, the account and risk, the live position with its protection stage, and the performance of this engine only.

Higher risk settings scale profit and drawdown together, they do not improve the edge.

- Prop-firm mode - allows only one open trade at a time.

- Engine ID (magic number) - keeps this engine's trades separate from any other.
- Backtest GMT offset - your broker's offset in hours, for the Strategy Tester only.
- Break-even - the profit, in units of daily volatility, at which the trade is secured.
- Trailing stop distance - in units of daily volatility.
- Dashboard - show or hide, chart theme on or off, panel position.
■ WHAT THIS ENGINE IS NOT
It is not a signal-a-minute scalper, and it is not a "double after a loss" system. It takes one to two positions a day, protects them, and closes the day flat. If you are looking for a system that trades all day and never shows a losing week, this is not it.
