Stochastic Horizontal Line Alert for MT5
Turn your Stochastic horizontal levels into automatic alerts. Simply draw a line on the Stochastic window and let the indicator monitor it for you.
Your Stochastic levels are monitored automatically — so you don't have to watch the chart all the time.
Stochastic Horizontal Line Alert is a simple and convenient MetaTrader 5 indicator that monitors horizontal levels drawn in the Stochastic Oscillator window and automatically alerts you when the Stochastic %K line crosses a selected level.
Instead of continuously watching the Stochastic indicator, simply place a horizontal line at the level you want to monitor. When %K crosses that level, the indicator generates an alert and automatically removes the triggered line.

How It Works
The indicator monitors horizontal lines in the Stochastic Oscillator subwindow.
When the Stochastic %K line crosses the horizontal level, the indicator:
-
Detects the crossing direction.
-
Determines whether the movement is UP or DOWN.
-
Displays an alert containing the %K value and the selected level.
-
Plays a sound if enabled.
-
Sends a Push Notification if enabled.
-
Automatically deletes the triggered horizontal line.
Example
Suppose you create a horizontal line at:
Level = 20
When Stochastic %K moves from below 20 to 20 or above, the indicator can generate:
Stochastic %K UP | [Line Name] | %K=20.35 Level=20.00
If %K moves from above 20 to 20 or below, it can generate:
Stochastic %K DOWN | [Line Name] | %K=19.82 Level=20.00
After the alert is triggered, the horizontal line is automatically deleted.
Alert Settings
PushNotification
Enable this option to receive the alert as a notification on your MT5 mobile application.
Sound
Enable or disable the MT5 sound alert.
PopUpAlert
Enable or disable the MT5 popup alert.
You can enable any combination of these alert methods.
Stochastic Oscillator Settings
The indicator uses the standard MT5 Stochastic Oscillator and allows you to configure:
-
K Period
-
D Period
-
Slowing
-
Moving Average Method
-
Price Field
Default settings:
-
K Period = 12
-
D Period = 3
-
Slowing = 3
-
Method = Simple Moving Average
-
Price Field = Low/High
You can change these parameters to match your preferred Stochastic configuration.
Configurable Horizontal Line Style
Select which horizontal-line style the indicator should monitor.
By default, the indicator uses STYLE_DASHDOTDOT .
This allows you to distinguish alert lines from other horizontal lines on the Stochastic window.
Simple Workflow
1. Add the Stochastic indicator to your chart
2. Add this alert indicator
3. Go to the Stochastic subwindow
4. Create a horizontal line at the level you want to monitor ( by default detect line STYLE_DASHDOTDOT)
5. The indicator waits for Stochastic %K to cross the level
6. Receive your selected alert
7. The triggered line is automatically removed
This makes it convenient to prepare multiple levels in advance and let the indicator monitor them automatically.
Suitable For
This indicator can be useful for traders who use Stochastic levels such as:
-
20 — Oversold area
-
30
-
50 — Mid-level
-
70
-
80 — Overbought area
You can also use any other Stochastic level supported by the indicator.
Trick for usage:
Instead of setting an immediate alert when the Stochastic %K value enters the extreme zone, you can configure the alert to trigger when the %K value moves back out of that zone.
Important
This indicator is an alert tool, not an automated trading system.
It does not open or close trades and does not guarantee trading profits.
Trading financial markets involves risk. Always use appropriate risk management and make trading decisions based on your own analysis.
