NIGHT RIDER

Night Rider is a fully automated, multi-asset trading system designed to operate during controlled nighttime sessions.

The system independently manages order placement, open positions, market conditions and account exposure.

Night Rider has undergone extensive backtesting and forward testing across different market conditions.

Its optimization process is intentionally minimal and limited to a single indicator. This helps reduce unnecessary complexity and excessive parameter fitting.

Night Rider can manage up to nine currency pairs from a single chart.

Every symbol can be:

• Enabled or disabled independently

• Renamed according to the broker

• Replaced with another compatible instrument

• Monitored individually through the information panel

The nine preset symbols are:

• EURAUD

• AUDCAD

• GBPAUD

• AUDUSD

• EURCHF

• GBPCHF

• EURUSD

• EURGBP

• USDCHF

These symbols represent a starting configuration, not a limitation.

Users can test additional instruments, identify symbols that have performed well under their broker’s conditions and replace any of the default pairs with their preferred selections.

Every new instrument should be evaluated over a sufficiently long period and under realistic spread, commission and execution conditions.

Strong historical performance on a specific symbol does not guarantee similar future results.

Night Rider is a real trading system exposed to changing market conditions.

Its performance is not expected to follow a perfectly linear path. Losing trades, drawdown phases and periods of limited growth are natural parts of live trading.

Results can be affected by:

• Market volatility

• Broker spreads

• Trading commissions

• Available liquidity

• Slippage

• Execution quality

• Differences in broker pricing

TRADE SETTINGS

Magic Number

A unique identifier assigned to all orders and positions opened by Night Rider.

Use a different Magic Number for every separate configuration running on the same trading account.

Trade Comment

Defines the custom comment attached to orders created by Night Rider.

Slippage Points

Defines the maximum permitted price deviation when executing market operations.

Run One Chart Setup

False:

Night Rider manages only the symbol of the chart where it is attached.

True:

Night Rider manages all enabled symbols from a single chart.

Trade Symbol 1-9

Enables or disables each individual symbol.

A disabled symbol will not receive new orders from that configuration.

One Chart Symbol 1-9

Defines the instrument assigned to each available symbol slot.

Symbol names can be changed to match the instruments available in the broker’s Market Watch.

This allows Night Rider to work with brokers that use prefixes, suffixes or alternative symbol names.

Fixed Lot Size

Defines the manual trading volume.

This value is used when Risk Level is set to Fixed lot size.

The requested volume is automatically adjusted according to:

• Broker minimum volume

• Broker maximum volume

• Permitted volume step

Risk Level

Selects the automatic position-sizing profile.

Available options:

• Very high risk

• High risk

• Medium risk

• Low risk

• Very low risk

• Fixed lot size

Automatic sizing is calculated using the current account balance and normalized according to the trading conditions of each symbol.

Risk levels apply individually to each position.

Activating several symbols simultaneously can significantly increase total account exposure and potential drawdown.

Show Info Panel Live

Enables or disables the information panel during live and demo trading.

Show Info Panel Backtest

Enables or disables the information panel inside the Strategy Tester.

Disabling the panel during testing can improve backtest performance and reduce resource usage.

Info Panel Scale Percent

Controls the overall size of the information panel, including text and graphical elements.

• 100 represents the standard size

• Values below 100 reduce the panel size

• Values above 100 enlarge the panel

Transparency is essential in the automated trading industry.

A system should not be judged only by its best months, selected screenshots or isolated profitable periods.

A responsible evaluation should include:

• The complete testing period

• The initial account balance

• The selected risk level

• Trading costs

• Losing trades

• Maximum drawdown

• Periods of underperformance

Drawdown should never be hidden or presented as an unexpected anomaly.

It is part of the system’s real risk profile and must be considered before using the system with real capital.

AlgoControl believes that users should understand both the potential and the limitations of an automated trading system.

Backtests, forward tests and historical reports should be presented transparently, including both profitable and difficult periods.

Night Rider does not guarantee future results.

Higher risk levels can produce substantial drawdowns, especially when multiple symbols are active simultaneously.
