Universal Trend Intelligence - Multi-Factor Market Analysis

Universal Trend Intelligence (v1.0) is a custom MetaTrader 5 indicator for analyzing trend direction, trend strength and market conditions. It combines several technical measurements into one chart interface.

Trend Score

The indicator calculates a Trend Score from 0% to 100% using five components:

  • Trend / EMA alignment using 20, 50 and 200 EMA.
  • ADX directional strength.
  • MACD momentum.
  • Fractal market structure.
  • RSI momentum.

The default Signal Threshold is 75%. This threshold is an analytical condition used to determine whether the setup is eligible for further signal confirmation. It does not represent a win rate or a probability of profit.

Market Regime Filter

The indicator can use the Kaufman Efficiency Ratio (ER) to classify current market conditions as TRENDING or CHOPPY.

The default minimum efficiency threshold is 0.35. When the ER value is below the configured threshold, trend signals can be blocked when the regime filter is enabled.

Higher-Timeframe Confirmation

An optional Higher-Timeframe Trend Filter is available, with H1 as the default timeframe. The filter checks EMA alignment on the selected higher timeframe.

A bullish setup can receive confirmation when the higher timeframe is bullish. A bearish setup can receive confirmation when the higher timeframe is bearish. A mismatch can prevent the corresponding signal.

Signal Conditions

A BUY or SELL signal requires more than the Trend Score threshold. The indicator also checks the market regime, directional bias and Higher-Timeframe confirmation when enabled. Signals are evaluated on confirmed closed candles.

BUY conditions require a bullish directional bias and the required confirmation conditions. SELL conditions require a bearish directional bias and the required confirmation conditions.

Dashboard and Alerts

The on-chart dashboard displays the symbol, timeframe, market regime, ER value, Higher-Timeframe trend, Trend Score, Signal Threshold and current signal status.

The signal status can show BUY, SELL, WAITING, BLOCKED or HTF MISMATCH.

Optional alerts are available for confirmed BUY and SELL signals:

  • MT5 popup alerts.
  • Push notifications.
  • Sound alerts.

Push notifications require the user's MT5 notification settings and MetaQuotes ID to be configured.

Closed-Candle Signal Evaluation

Signal conditions are evaluated using confirmed closed-bar data rather than the currently forming candle. This is intended to avoid basing a signal on incomplete candle information.

Supported Markets and Timeframes

The indicator can be applied to symbols supported by the MT5 broker, including Forex, metals, indices, cryptocurrencies and other available instruments. It can be used across MT5 timeframes.

Signal frequency and behavior can vary according to the symbol, timeframe, broker pricing, liquidity and market volatility.

Recommended Use

Use the indicator as an analytical and signal-assistance tool. A practical workflow is to review the market regime, Trend Score, Signal Threshold and Higher-Timeframe trend, then wait for a confirmed BUY or SELL signal when the required conditions align.

Apply your own entry, position-sizing and risk-management rules. Do not rely on a single indicator or signal as the sole basis for a trading decision.
