The Pattern/Random Method: A New Method for Building Expert Advisors (EA)
After a decade of intense study, during which I attended hundreds of online and live courses, I realized a surprising truth. I learned from a vast range of mentors—from university economics professors in the EU and UK to popular YouTube educators. The conclusion was always the same: their systems were incredibly complex, yet their actual trading results were poor.
Frustrated by over-optimized strategies that fail in real market conditions, I developed my own proprietary framework for building Expert Advisors. It is called the Pattern/Random Method . This approach splits the architecture of an EA into two core components: The Engine and The Accessories .
Structural Components
1. The Engine
- Definition: The core algorithmic nucleus of the trading strategy.
- Function: Detects the approximate structural footprint of algorithms used by Market Makers and institutional funds.
- Purpose: Provides a raw statistical edge powerful enough to keep the EA profitable on its own, without any extra filtering.
2. The Accessories
- Definition: Secondary layers of analysis built on top of the core engine.
- Elements: Technical indicators, candlestick patterns (price action), strict Stop Loss / Take Profit rules, and time filters.
- Purpose: They do not create profitability; they merely optimize, fine-tune, and enhance the performance of the pre-existing Engine.

Most traders fail because they try to build systems using only "Accessories," hoping a complex combination of indicators will predict the market. The Pattern/Random Method prioritizes institutional logic (The Engine), using market mathematics to its advantage, while the accessories simply serve to reduce drawdown and maximize efficiency.
