XAUUSD Trend-Following Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5

Vino Gold Trend Hunter is a fully automated Expert Advisor developed specifically for XAUUSD (Gold).

The EA combines a structured trend-following entry engine with configurable market filters, automated position management and daily trading controls.

The integrated on-chart panel allows traders to monitor the EA and adjust important trading parameters directly from the chart.

RECOMMENDED TIMEFRAME

M15 — 15-Minute Chart

For the recommended trading configuration, attach Vino Gold Trend Hunter to an XAUUSD M15 chart.

The EA may be tested on other timeframes, but M15 is the recommended timeframe for the intended configuration.

PANEL CONFIGURATION — IMPORTANT

Vino Gold Trend Hunter includes an on-chart dashboard for monitoring and controlling the EA during Demo/Live trading.

The dashboard is controlled by the ShowPanel input.

ShowPanel = true

Displays the full on-chart dashboard and is recommended for Demo/Live trading.

ShowPanel = false

Hides the dashboard and is recommended for faster backtesting and optimization.

When the panel is enabled, continuous dashboard updates and chart rendering can make visual backtesting slower.

For faster backtesting, set ShowPanel = false in the EA Inputs before starting the test.

Important: Turning the panel OFF only hides the visual dashboard. The trading logic, entry filters, risk management, position management and trade execution remain active.

ENTRY FILTERS

The EA provides individual controls for multiple market-condition filters:

Each filter can be enabled or disabled according to the selected trading configuration.

PULLBACK ENTRY CONTROL

The Lot Multiplier provides additional control over the pullback-entry configuration.

Recommended Setting: 0.50

The Lot Multiplier can be adjusted directly from the on-chart panel to customize the pullback-entry behaviour.

Example values:

0.10 → 0.20 → 0.30 → 0.50

Users can test different settings according to their preferred trading configuration.

For the recommended configuration, use 0.50 and test any customized setting on a Demo account before live trading.

POSITION MANAGEMENT

The on-chart panel provides configurable position-management controls:

• Trail Lock
• Tier 2
• Tier 3

These controls allow traders to configure how positions are managed after entry.

DAILY TRADING CONTROLS

The EA provides configurable daily controls:

• Daily Take-Profit Limit
• Maximum Trades Limit
• Daily Loss Limit
• Risk Reduction

Daily Loss Limit

Set the Daily Loss Limit according to your account capital and risk tolerance before running the EA.

IMPORTANT — BEFORE RUNNING THE EA

Before starting the EA on a Demo or Live account:

1. Attach the EA to an XAUUSD M15 chart.

2. Open the on-chart Filter Control Panel.

3. Review the available entry filters.

4. Enable the filters according to your desired trading configuration.

5. Set the Lot Multiplier to 0.50 for the recommended pullback-entry configuration.

6. Set the Daily Loss Limit according to your account capital and risk tolerance.

7. Review the Position Management and Daily Trading controls.

8. Test the selected configuration on a Demo account before live trading.

VALIDATION CONFIGURATION

The core entry engine was evaluated separately from the additional filtering layer.

For the historical validation, the additional panel filters were disabled to evaluate the underlying entry engine independently.

The validation configuration should not be considered the recommended live-trading configuration.

For Demo/Live trading, configure the available filters and risk settings according to the recommended setup and your own trading requirements.

BACKTESTING AND OPTIMIZATION

For long historical backtests and optimization runs, the dashboard can be disabled using:

ShowPanel = false

This removes the visual dashboard while keeping the EA's trading logic active and helps reduce unnecessary chart rendering during testing.

For visual testing where the dashboard is required:

ShowPanel = true

1. Attach Vino Gold Trend Hunter to an XAUUSD M15 chart.

2. Configure the ShowPanel setting.

3. For Demo/Live trading, keep ShowPanel = true.

4. Open the Filter Control Panel and enable the desired filters.

5. Set the Lot Multiplier = 0.50 for the recommended configuration.

6. Set the Daily Loss Limit according to your account capital.

7. Review the Position Management and Daily Trading controls.

8. Run the EA on a Demo account first.

9. Monitor the EA under your broker's actual XAUUSD trading conditions before considering live deployment.
