Overview
NEXUS Adaptive Engine is a next-generation Expert Advisor developed for MetaTrader 5, specifically designed to trade the XAU/USD pair (Spot Gold) on the M15 timeframe. It combines artificial intelligence, advanced technical analysis, and an adaptive grid management system to identify and execute highly accurate trades on one of the most volatile and profitable assets in the market.
Its triple-core architecture integrates real-time machine learning models with dynamic price filters, achieving a robust and adaptive approach that continuously adjusts to changing gold market conditions.
Artificial Intelligence Engine
The EA incorporates two AI engines that operate in consensus:
SVM with Kernel RBF (Support Vector Machine) — Classifies the market in real time using six features extracted from each candlestick: normalized return, RSI, MACD divergence, Bollinger Band position, ATR volatility, and 5-bar momentum. It includes walk-forward training and automatic grid search for hyperparameters (C and Gamma).
LightGBM (Gradient Boosting) — A decision tree boosting engine trained on recent tick data. It applies leaf-wise growth with overfit control using min_data_in_leaf, adaptive learning rate, and up to 50 boosting rounds. It automatically retrains itself with a sliding window of market data.
Both models generate independent signals (+1 BUY / -1 SELL / 0 NEUTRAL) that are merged into a unified AI consensus with a confidence level of 0 to 1. This consensus serves as the decisive filter for enabling market entries.
NRTR Channel (Nick Rypock Trailing Reverse)
The system incorporates a dynamic NRTR channel built on ATR(14) with a multiplier of 2.0 and a period of 40 bars. This channel defines the structural direction of the market, acting as a macro trend filter and a visual reference for identifying dynamic support and resistance zones. It only updates with each new candlestick to optimize performance.
Entry System — Adaptive Grid Scalper
Entries are executed using pending stop orders (BUY STOP / SELL STOP), positioned at a delta distance from the current price (3 pips by default). The system maintains up to 5 simultaneous pending orders per direction, with real-time margin control before each submission.
Entries are only enabled when:
The AI consensus is favorable.
The NRTR channel confirms the direction.
The spread is within the maximum allowed limit (30 pips).
Trading hours are active (1:00 AM to 11:00 PM).

Open Position Management
Automatic closure by profit target: Positions are automatically closed upon reaching 15 pips of profit, ensuring consistent results without relying on fixed take-profit levels.
Aggressive Dynamic Trailing Stop: The system activates trailing stop starting at 5 pips of profit. As profits increase, the trailing step gradually decreases (from 2.0 to 1.0 pips), protecting gains more and more effectively.
Automatic Break-Even: Upon reaching 30 pips of profit, the stop loss is automatically moved to the entry price, eliminating the risk of the trade.
Real-Time Visual Dashboard: The EA includes a Deep Space/Neon Gold style visual dashboard that displays the following in real time: SVM signal, LightGBM signal, AI consensus with confidence level, NRTR channel direction, current spread, active pending orders, and floating profit. It updates with each new candlestick for maximum efficiency.
