Verify It Yourself. The Backtest Settings Are Already Built In
Attach Naufal to EURUSD M5, open the Strategy Tester, and press Start. No set file to download, no configuration to guess. The defaults in the code are the exact parameters that produced the results you see in the screenshots. What you test is what you get.
14 years of real-tick data. 467 million price points. 656 completed trade cycles. One pair, one consistent strategy, no curve-fitting across multiple optimization windows.
What You Will See When You Test
+323,592 pips net profit from a 10,000-pip starting balance. Profit Factor 1.75. Recovery Factor 5.27. Sharpe Ratio 6.72. And an LR Correlation of 0.97 — meaning 97% of the equity growth follows a clean, upward line. This isn't a curve that spikes and crashes. It compounds.
The strategy trades both directions with near-equal performance: shorts win 53.7% of the time, longs win 55.7%. The average winning trade is 2,103 pips against an average loss of 1,453 pips — winners are consistently larger than losers.
Maximum consecutive win streak: 18 trades in a row, totaling +25,656 pips.
Built Different From Other Grid EAs
Most grid EAs work fine — until something goes wrong. A VPS reboot wipes the EA's memory mid-cycle. A broker rejects an order during a volatility spike and the EA freezes. Positions keep stacking with no ceiling until one bad week ends the account.
Naufal handles all of this automatically. Persistent state memory survives terminal crashes and restarts. Failed orders trigger a cooldown-and-retry sequence with market validation. A hard depth ceiling prevents runaway position stacking regardless of market conditions. A circuit breaker pauses trading entirely if error rates spike.
These aren't theoretical features — each one was engineered to solve a specific failure mode that quietly destroys grid EAs in live trading. The result: an EA you can leave running on a VPS and check weekly, not hourly.
About the Drawdown
No grid EA is drawdown-free. Anyone claiming otherwise is lying or hasn't tested long enough.
Naufal's worst relative drawdown was 46.23%, occurring early in the backtest when the balance was still small (7,360 pips on a ~16,000-pip balance). The EA recovered fully and continued compounding for another 12 years through the SNB flash crash, Brexit, COVID, and multiple rate hike cycles.
A Recovery Factor of 5.27 means it earned back more than 5x its worst drawdown. That's what this EA is designed to do — not avoid drawdowns, but recover from them systematically.
Cents Account Friendly
You don't need a large account to start. Naufal auto-scales its lot sizing depending on your balance, so it works the same whether you deposit $50 on a cents account or $5,000 on a standard account. The EA adjusts automatically — no reconfiguration needed.
Recommended leverage: 1:500 or higher. The strategy uses scaled position management, so higher leverage gives it more room to work during deeper cycles.
For a full portfolio across multiple pairs, budget around ~$1,000 on a cents account.
Run Your Own Optimizations
Naufal isn't locked to EURUSD M5. Use the built-in optimizer mode and custom fitness function to find settings for any pair and timeframe in MT5's Strategy Tester. The fitness function automatically penalizes excessive drawdown and rewards consistency, so optimization steers toward stable results, not just the highest profit.
