Dual MA EA v1.07 Developed by LUNGILE MBANJWA

Overview

Dual MA EA is a clean and professional multi-timeframe trend-following Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5. It uses a higher-timeframe Moving Average trend filter combined with a lower-timeframe Moving Average crossover to open trades only in the direction of the main trend.

The EA is fully isolated with its own magic number, works on any symbol, restores its statistics after terminal restarts, and can safely run together with other Expert Advisors on the same account.

Trading Strategy

  • Trend Filter: Fast and Slow Moving Averages on a higher timeframe (default H4)
  • Entry Signal: Moving Average crossover on a lower timeframe (default M15)
  • Buys are allowed only when the higher-timeframe trend is bullish
  • Sells are allowed only when the higher-timeframe trend is bearish
  • Trades are opened only on the close of a new signal-timeframe candle

Risk Management

  • Separate Stop Loss for Buy and Sell trades (in points)
  • Separate Trailing Stop for Buy and Sell trades
  • Fixed lot size with automatic normalization
  • Maximum number of trades per day
  • Free margin check before every trade
  • Proper handling of broker stop levels (no more “Invalid stops” errors)

Session Control

The EA only opens new trades inside a user-defined trading session (default 03:00 – 13:00 server time). Outside the session, no new trades are opened, but open positions continue to be managed by the trailing stop.
