BTC Trading Assistant EA (MT5)

Manual trading assistant that helps place and manage trades with automated risk and stop management.

Overview

BTC Trading Assistant EA is a utility Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5 intended for manual traders. It provides a chart interface to execute BUY/SELL/CLOSE actions and automates selected trade management functions such as position sizing, initial SL/TP placement, break-even, trailing stop and optional partial profit taking.

This EA does not generate trade signals and does not decide when to trade. The user is responsible for analysis and for initiating orders via the interface.

Main functions

When an order is initiated from the panel, the EA can:

  • Calculate trade volume from RiskPercent and the configured stop distance (or use a fixed lot size if enabled).
  • Place initial Stop Loss and Take Profit using configured distances.
  • Apply break-even and trailing stop rules after entry (if enabled).
  • Optionally close parts of the position at up to three configurable take profit levels (if enabled and supported by the broker/account type).

Optional safety checks

The EA can include execution restrictions such as maximum spread checks, a trading session window and a cooldown between actions, depending on your settings.

Chart display and logging

The EA can draw price levels (entry/SL/TP) on the chart for visual management. It can also save trade activity to a CSV file if logging is enabled, and play alerts if configured.

Notes and limitations

  • Broker conditions (spread, slippage, stops level/freeze level, execution rules) can affect order placement and modifications.
  • Partial position closing depends on broker support and the account’s execution mode. Some brokers may reject partial close requests.
  • Default distances are intended for volatile crypto symbols. If used on other instruments, review point values and adjust distances accordingly.
  • Strategy Tester behavior may differ from live trading due to tick simulation and execution modeling. Demo forward testing is recommended.

Requirements

MetaTrader 5; broker must allow trading and stop modifications on the selected symbol(s). If using partial closes, broker/account must support partial position closing.
