ClearSpec Equity Guard MT4

Short description

Account protection for prop-firm style and personal rules: daily loss limit, maximum drawdown (static or trailing), optional daily profit lock, trading-hours window and Friday close. When a limit is hit it closes all trades, deletes pending orders and keeps the account flat until the block ends.

ClearSpec Equity Guard watches equity on every tick and enforces the limits you set, even when you are away from the screen.

Rules

  • Daily loss limit in % or money. Day base can be the balance at day start, the equity at day start, or the higher of the two. Floating and closed P/L count. You choose the server hour when the new day starts.
  • Maximum drawdown in % or money: static (from the starting balance) or trailing (from the highest equity reached). Once hit, the block stays until you reset it with the panel button.
  • Daily profit lock (optional): stop for the day when a profit target is reached.
  • Trading hours (server time) with optional close at session end, and an optional Friday close time.
  • Warning when a set % of a limit is used (default 80%).

When a limit is hit

  • Closes all trades in scope, deletes pending orders (optional) and closes any new trade opened while blocked.
  • Pop-up alert and optional push notification to the MetaTrader mobile app.
  • Scope: whole account (all symbols and EAs) or one magic number.

Panel

Status (ACTIVE or BLOCKED and why), equity and day base, today's P/L, daily limit and room left, max-drawdown floor and room left, profit lock, trading hours, open trades watched, next reset, plus Close All Now and Reset Max-DD Block buttons.

Important

  • MT4 cannot stop you clicking Buy, so the guard enforces the rules by closing trades. Keep the terminal running (a VPS is recommended) with the guard attached.
  • Trades close at market prices. In fast markets or gaps the final loss can go past the limit, so set it a little tighter than your prop firm's rule.
  • In the Strategy Tester only, the input "Strategy Tester demo" opens sample trades so you can watch the guard work. It never does this on a live or demo chart.
  • No DLLs, no web requests. A protection tool, not a strategy: no guarantee of profit.
