MetaTrader tools and indicators that measure the odds on your own chart: how often levels were reached, how far days and sessions usually run, and what followed past signals. Every figure comes from the symbol’s own price history and uses closed bars only, so nothing repaints. Questions are welcome - Versione: 1.0
How much room is left before a funded-account challenge's loss limit? Prop Floor Monitor shows it on the chart at a glance: the daily-loss floor, the maximum-loss floor, which one is closer, and the price at which this symbol's open position would reach it. The daily reset follows the time zone you choose, with its daylight saving: the reset moment was checked against the IANA time zone database at 18,688 moments from 2024 to 2027, including every clock change, with no difference. Every number is verified against a separate implementation before each release.
What it does
The panel shows equity now and the room to the floor as a share of equity; the daily floor and how much of the daily limit is used; the maximum-loss floor and how much of it is used; the room to the floor in money and which limit sets it; and the day's equity low and when it happened. Green means more than half of a limit is left, orange between a quarter and a half, red under a quarter. On the price chart, a dashed line marks the price at which this symbol's net open position would bring equity down to the floor. The panel also counts down to the next daily reset.
How it works
You enter the rules of your own challenge: the daily loss limit and the maximum loss as percentages, whether the daily limit counts from the balance, the equity or the higher of the two at the reset, whether the maximum loss is fixed at the start balance or trails the equity peak (and whether it stops trailing at the start balance), and the reset hour with its time zone (UTC, Central Europe, New York or the broker's server time). No firm's rules are built in, so it fits any firm that states its limits this way. The start balance, the balance and equity at each reset, the equity peak and the day's equity low are kept per account, so they survive a restart of the terminal. Each finished day is written to a small log file in the terminal's Files folder.
How it was tested
The calculations were checked independently: a separate implementation recomputes the floors, the room, the limit that sets it and the floor price for 400 account scenarios, and the reset moment for 18,688 moments across 2024 to 2027 in each time zone, with daylight saving taken from the IANA time zone database. Both agree to the last decimal.
Results and risks
Prop Floor Monitor is display only: it never opens, changes or closes a position. The floors follow the rules you enter; check them against your firm's current rules, because firms word and change their rules differently, and the firm's own figures always decide. Equity is read from the terminal, which can differ slightly from the firm's server during fast markets. The floor price covers this symbol's net position only; positions on other symbols also move equity.
Recommended use
Any account and any symbol. Typical uses: keeping the room to both limits in view during a challenge, seeing where an open position would reach the floor, and checking the day's equity low after the session.
Inputs
- Rules: daily loss limit % (default 5; 0 = none), maximum loss % (default 10; 0 = none), trailing maximum loss (off by default) and whether it stops at the start balance, daily base (balance, equity or the higher), reset time zone and hour, start balance (0 = the balance when first attached).
- The floor-price line on the chart and the three room colours.
- Panel: show or hide, any chart corner, distance from the edges in pixels, and size (small, normal, large). One key (H by default) hides or shows everything the indicator draws.
- Alerts: when the room falls below a share of equity (default 1%); pop-up, push notification, email and sound, each on or off.
- Hide the chart grid: on by default.
Risk notice
Trading forex, metals, indices and other leveraged products carries a high risk of loss. Prop Floor Monitor is an analysis tool: it does not give investment advice or trading recommendations, and it does not guarantee any result. All figures describe the rules you enter, and past behaviour does not guarantee future behaviour. You are responsible for your own trading decisions.
