RTM Indicator finds the price-action zones that supply-and-demand traders mark by hand and keeps them up to date on every closed bar. It is built on the ZoneReader Pro zone engine and is supplied here as a MetaTrader 5 indicator.

Zones

The indicator scans the chart (or a higher timeframe of your choice) for a base of one to three small candles between a leg-in and an explosive leg-out and classifies it as Drop-Base-Rally or Rally-Base-Rally demand, or Rally-Base-Drop or Drop-Base-Drop supply. It checks whether the leg-out engulfed structure (Flag Limit / Decision Point), whether a swing was failed to return to (FTR), how far price departed from the base and how many candles the base has. Quasimodo swing patterns are detected as well and drawn as QML-to-MPL zones.

Every zone is then followed on closed bars: the indicator knows when price departed, how many times the zone was tested, and when it was invalidated by a close (or a wick) beyond its far edge. Tested zones turn grey, invalidated zones are removed.

Score

Each zone gets a score from 0 to 100 built from the departure strength, the number of base candles, the structure break, the FTR tag, the zone height, freshness, the higher-timeframe trend and compression into the zone. You choose the minimum score for drawing a zone and the minimum score for a signal.

Signals

An arrow is printed when price returns into a fresh zone and, within a configurable number of bars, closes an engulf candle in the direction of the zone (close beyond the previous candle's extreme, real body, close back outside the zone). The arrow is placed after that candle has closed and is never moved or removed afterwards. The historical arrows shown when the indicator is attached are calculated with the same rules and the same information cut-offs, so the history you see is the history the indicator would have shown live.

Higher-timeframe trend

The trend of a higher timeframe is read from its swings (break of structure, higher highs and higher lows, lower highs and lower lows). Use it as a filter (no counter-trend signals, or strict trend-following) or only as information on the dashboard.

Alerts and dashboard

Alerts on new signals, on price entering a fresh zone and on newly confirmed zones: pop-up, push notification, e-mail and sound. The dashboard shows the higher-timeframe trend, the number of fresh demand and supply zones, the nearest fresh zone above and below price and the last signal.

Gold Graphite chart theme

A near-black chart, gold bullish candles, graphite bearish candles and a subdued grid provide a consistent display. The dashboard uses an obsidian panel with a gold title and clear light text. The theme includes gold bid and sky-blue ask lines and a 16% right margin. You can disable the theme, control the grid and margin, and restore the previous chart appearance when the indicator is removed.

For Expert Advisors

Eight buffers make the indicator readable with iCustom: buffer 0 buy signal price, 1 sell signal price, 2 and 3 top and bottom of the nearest fresh demand zone, 4 and 5 bottom and top of the nearest fresh supply zone, 6 higher-timeframe trend (+1 / 0 / -1), 7 signal score. Every value is written once, at the close of the bar, so an EA acting on shift 1 acts on exactly the arrows shown on the chart.

Recommended use

Designed on XAUUSD and EURUSD M15 with H1 as the higher timeframe; works on any symbol and on all timeframes from M1 to W1. Two copies with different zone timeframes can share one chart, for example M15 zones and H4 zones on an M15 chart.

Inputs

• Zone detection: zone timeframe (chart or higher); bars to scan; ATR period; base candle definition (body ratio, tiny-range threshold); minimum and maximum candles in a base; momentum candle definition (body ratio, range in ATR); leg-in bars and minimum move; zone edges (wick to wick or body on the proximal edge); leg-out must close outside the base; departure multiple and look-ahead bars; maximum zone height; zone age; invalidation by close or wick with a tolerance; structural engulf look-back and swing strength; show reversal / continuation zones; continuation zones must break structure; Quasimodo on/off, zone type (QML..MPL or MPL pocket), head close requirement, maximum age and height; minimum score to display a zone.
• Signals: show signals; minimum zone score for a signal; maximum number of tests; engulf definition (close beyond the previous extreme or body engulfing); confirmation window in bars; signal candle body ratio; close back outside the zone; maximum distance from the zone; higher timeframe and filter mode (off, no counter-trend, strict); higher-timeframe swing strength; compression bonus settings; bars of signal history calculated at start.
• Alerts: on signal, on zone touch, on new zone; pop-up, push, e-mail, sound and sound file.
• Display: draw zones, fill, labels, keep tested zones, extension in bars, colours for every zone type and for the arrows, arrow size and offset, dashboard on/off with corner, position, font size and colour, object prefix.
• Chart theme: apply the Gold Graphite theme, dim grid, hide one-click trading, right margin.
