POSITION SIZING
- Fixed lot: the entered lot is used exactly as it is.
- Balance scaled: the base lot grows one step for every full block of balance. By default every 10000 units of balance adds 0.01 lot. The result never falls below one base lot, so a 100 unit account simply trades 0.01.
- Risk percent: the volume is derived from the actual distance between entry and stop loss, so a stopped trade costs the configured percentage of balance. Because the stop sits on the slow average, that distance changes with every setup. This mode keeps the money risked constant while the distance varies, and it is the mode this strategy was built for.
- Every volume is aligned with the symbol volume step and checked against the minimum, maximum and total volume limit. Free margin is verified before every entry.
RISK MANAGEMENT
An optional lot progression increases the next position after a losing trade, either by a multiplier or by a fixed increment. The sequence returns to the base lot once a trade closes in profit and the account has recovered its previous equity peak, or once the configured number of consecutive losses is reached. The equity peak survives a terminal restart.
The default limit of 99 consecutive losses is far higher than any account can survive. With the default multiplier of 2.0 the size doubles on every loss. From a 0.01 base:
Loss 1: 0.02
Loss 2: 0.04
Loss 3: 0.08
Loss 4: 0.16
Loss 5: 0.32
Loss 6: 0.64
Loss 7: 1.28
Loss 8: 2.56
The limit only decides when the sequence restarts at the base lot. The EA does not stop itself before that point. Set the maximum to a number your balance can absorb. Four to six steps is a far more realistic starting value than the default.
To trade flat with no recovery, set the multiplier to 1.0 or the maximum consecutive losses to 1. The strategy works without the progression: every trade carries its own stop loss and take profit, and a take profit ratio of 1.0 means the system does not depend on an unusually high win rate to break even.
BROKER COMPATIBILITY
- Order filling mode detected from the symbol specification, with a correct fallback on Instant and Request execution servers
- Lot rounding derived from the symbol volume step, so cent and micro accounts need no configuration
- Stop loss and take profit validated against the broker stops level, measured from the correct closing price
- Modifications validated against the freeze level and the current spread, and skipped when price is within one trailing step of the take profit
- Requests that would change nothing are never sent
- Repeated conditions reported at most once per bar, so the journal stays readable
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
The EA does not guarantee profits. Past results do not guarantee future performance.
Backtest results may differ from live trading because of spread, commission, latency, slippage, liquidity and broker execution.
The lot progression increases exposure after a loss. A sustained run of losing trades can consume a large part of an account, and in the worst case all of it. Trade only with money you can afford to lose.
Always test under your own broker conditions, on demo or at 0.01 lot, before increasing volume or risk.
Support is provided through the Product comments section and the MQL5 messaging system.
