Risk Calculator – PeterT (MT5 EA)
What It Does
This is a Position Size & Risk Calculator Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5. It places a floating panel on your chart that automatically calculates the correct lot size based on your account balance and the risk percentage you set. Instead of doing math manually before every trade, the tool handles it instantly — so you always know exactly how much you're risking.
Key Features
- Auto Lot Sizing — Enter your risk % and Stop Loss in pips, and the EA instantly shows the correct lot size for your trade.
- Manual Lot Mode (Fix) — Switch to "Fix" mode to lock in a custom lot size. The panel then shows how much % of your balance that lot actually risks.
- Market & Pending Orders — Use the Market tab to place instant buy/sell orders, or switch to the Pending tab to set a specific open price for Stop/Limit orders.
- Visual Lines on Chart — Click Buy or Sell to draw Entry, Stop Loss, and Take Profit lines directly on the chart. You can drag these lines to adjust levels.
- Risk:Reward Bar — A visual bar shows your RR ratio at a glance (e.g. 1R vs 2.00R).
- Price or Pips Mode — Toggle between entering SL/TP in pips or in actual price levels.
- Compact Mode — Collapse the panel to show only the essentials (Risk %, Confirm button).
- Resizable Panel — Drag the right edge of the panel to make it wider or narrower.
