Heatmap Volume BarColor is a MetaTrader 5 companion indicator that colors your candlesticks on the main chart according to volume intensity. It uses the same volume logic as Heatmap Volume but applies the color directly to the candles, so you read volume strength without looking down at a separate window.

Features

  • On-chart candle coloring: paints each candle by how abnormal its volume is, measured in standard deviations from the volume moving average.
  • Shared logic with Heatmap Volume: the same thresholds drive both tools, so the candle colors stay in sync with the separate-window histogram.
  • Five intensity levels: from quiet to extremely abnormal volume, so spikes stand out immediately.
  • Clean main-chart display that works on any symbol and timeframe.

Inputs

  • MA / StdDev Length: averaging length for the volume baseline (default 610).
  • Threshold Multipliers: the standard-deviation levels for Extra High, High, Medium, Normal and Low.
  • Color set: one color per intensity level.

Outputs

  • Recolored candlesticks on the main chart, with stronger colors marking more abnormal volume.

Alerts

Optional alerts can be sent as a screen popup, sound, push notification and email when a candle reaches a high-intensity level.

Limitations

Volume color is a confirmation overlay, not a buy/sell signal, and shows intensity rather than direction. On Forex, MT5 uses tick volume, which approximates real traded volume. Pairs best with Heatmap Volume for a full picture.
