MT5 to Telegram Signal Provider — Real-Time Trade Notifications for MetaTrader 5
Every trade event on your account, delivered to your Telegram chats and channels as a formatted message the moment it happens.
OVERVIEW
MT5 to Telegram Signal Provider is a utility Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5 that automatically sends trade notifications to one or more Telegram chats or channels. Every trade event on the account is captured and delivered as a formatted message in real time.
The EA runs on any chart and monitors the entire account, not only the symbol of the chart it is attached to. It does not place, modify or close any orders. Its sole function is to observe trade events and report them instantly to Telegram, so it runs alongside manual trading and any other Expert Advisor without interfering.
Notifications go to up to three Telegram destinations at the same time, so a private chat, a public channel and a subscriber group can receive the same feed. Symbol, magic number and comment filters decide what gets reported, and several instances on different charts can route different instruments to different channels.
FEATURES
Real-time trade notifications
Detects and reports all trade events: market orders opened and closed, partial closes, close by, SL/TP modifications, and pending orders placed, filled and cancelled. Each message leaves the terminal the moment the event occurs, so your followers see the trade while it is still relevant.
Complete event coverage
Reported events cover a market order opened as buy or sell, a market order fully closed including gross and net result in account currency, a market order partially closed showing the closed volume next to the remaining open volume, and close by, where a position is closed against an opposite position. Stop Loss and Take Profit changes on any open position are reported as well.
On the pending side the EA covers placement of buy and sell limit, buy and sell stop and buy and sell stop limit orders, the moment a pending order is triggered and filled, and cancellation. The optional daily summary report at a configurable hour and the EA started and stopped messages, the latter including the reason for the stop, complete the list.
Multi-channel support
Notifications can be sent to up to three Telegram chats or channels simultaneously. Ideal for distributing signals to multiple subscriber groups without running a second copy of the EA.
Rich message content
Each notification contains all relevant trade data: symbol, direction, lot size, entry price, stop loss, take profit, ticket number, comment and time. Close messages additionally include the pip result, the gross profit as pure price movement, and the net profit including all commissions and swap from both the opening and the closing deal. Partial close messages show the closed volume alongside the remaining open volume.
Modify cooldown timer
SL/TP modification events are buffered per position. Only one message is sent per configurable interval, 60 seconds by default, regardless of how many changes arrive during that period, and it carries the latest values. This is what keeps a trailing stop that fires on every tick from flooding your channel. Set Ev_ModifyDelay to 0 for instant delivery.
HTML-formatted messages
Messages use HTML formatting with bold field labels for clear readability. A separator line appears at the top and bottom of each message. An optional account info line shows account number and balance, with current equity available alongside it.
Chart screenshot delivery
Optionally captures and sends a screenshot of the chart with each trade open, close or pending fill notification. Width, height and caption text are configurable, and the EA falls back automatically from sendPhoto to sendDocument for maximum compatibility with Telegram groups and channels. The local image file can be deleted automatically after a successful upload.
Daily summary report
Sends an automated daily performance summary at a configurable time. It includes total trades, winners and losers, win rate, net P&L including all commissions and swap from both opening and closing deals, and the current account balance.
Symbol and magic number filters
Restrict monitoring to specific symbols, block individual symbols, report a single magic number only, or report only trades whose comment contains a given text. Run multiple instances on different charts to route different instruments to separate Telegram channels.
Connection monitoring
The Telegram connection is verified every five minutes. A status label on the chart reflects the current connection state at all times. Start and stop messages are sent automatically when the EA is attached or removed, the start message carrying account, broker, balance and chart, the stop message carrying the reason.
UTF-8 encoding
All message text is fully encoded in UTF-8 before transmission, ensuring correct rendering of all characters, symbols and emojis in Telegram. Any EA comment content is handled without HTTP errors.
PARAMETERS
Only TG_BotToken and TG_ChatID1 are required. Everything else is optional and ships with working defaults.
Telegram configuration. The bot token obtained from BotFather goes into TG_BotToken, the primary chat or channel ID into TG_ChatID1. TG_ChatID2 and TG_ChatID3 are optional and add a second and third destination, all three receiving the same notifications.
Message events. Individual switches turn each notification type on or off: Ev_OnOpen for opened market orders, Ev_OnClose for full closes, partial closes and close by, Ev_OnModify for SL and TP changes, and Ev_OnPendingSet, Ev_OnPendingFill and Ev_OnPendingCancel for the pending order lifecycle. All of them are enabled by default. Ev_ModifyDelay sets the cooldown in seconds between modification messages per position and defaults to 60, with 0 delivering instantly. Ev_DailyReport is disabled by default and switches on the daily summary, while Ev_ReportHour sets the hour of day from 0 to 23 at which it is sent, 20 by default.
Filters. F_AllowedSymbols takes a comma-separated list of symbols to monitor, for example XAUUSD,EURUSD, and reports every symbol when left empty. F_BlockedSymbols is the counterpart and lists symbols to ignore. F_MagicNumber restricts reporting to trades with one magic number and reports all trades at its default of -1. F_Comment reports only trades whose comment contains the given text and reports all trades when empty.
Message format. Fmt_ProviderName is the name shown at the top of every notification and defaults to MY SIGNALS. Fmt_ShowAccount appends account number and currency to each message and always shows the balance while enabled. Fmt_ShowEquity adds the current equity next to the balance and is only used when Fmt_ShowAccount is enabled. Fmt_ShowPips includes the pip result in close messages, and Fmt_UseEmojis switches between coloured circle indicators for trade direction and plain BUY and SELL text labels.
Chart screenshot. Sc_Send is disabled by default and enables screenshot delivery with each trade notification. Sc_Width and Sc_Height set the image size in pixels, 800 by 500 by default. Sc_Caption replaces the default caption of provider name and symbol, and Sc_DeleteAfterSend removes the local file after a successful upload.
Connection. Conn_Timeout is the maximum wait in milliseconds for a Telegram API response and defaults to 10000. Conn_ShowStatus displays the connection status label on the chart, Conn_StartMsg sends the startup message on initialisation including account, broker, balance and chart, and Conn_StopMsg sends the stop message when the EA is removed or the terminal closes, including the stop reason.
INSTALLATION
Copy the compiled .ex5 file into the Experts folder of your MT5 data folder, then press F5 in the Navigator or restart the terminal so the EA appears in the list.
In MT5 open Tools, Options, Expert Advisors, enable the option to allow WebRequests for listed URL and add the address api.telegram.org
Create a Telegram bot by starting a conversation with BotFather and sending the /newbot command, then copy the token it returns. For a private chat, retrieve your chat ID from userinfobot. For a channel, add the bot as an administrator and use the channel username, for example @mysignals, as the chat ID.
Drag the EA onto any chart, enter the token in TG_BotToken and the chat ID in TG_ChatID1, enable automated trading in the EA properties and confirm with OK. A green status label appears on the chart and a startup message is sent to Telegram. From there, configure which events to report and which symbols or magic numbers to filter.
AutoTrading must also be active in the terminal itself, through the toolbar button or Ctrl+E. Keep in mind that the EA monitors all positions on the account, not only those on the chart it is attached to, that multiple instances can run at the same time on different charts to route symbols to separate channels, and that the EA does not trade: it has no effect on open positions, pending orders or account funds.
COMPATIBILITY
MetaTrader 5 from build 3000, written in MQL5. All instruments are supported, including Forex, metals such as XAU and XAG, indices, crypto, energy and CFDs, on all timeframes.
