Prime Trend Master

Prime Trend Master is a trend-following Expert Advisor developed primarily for XAUUSD on H1. It combines market structure with trend alignment and optional momentum confirmation, while keeping every trade individually defined and risk controlled.

The idea behind the EA is straightforward: participate when the market shows an established directional structure and stay out when that structure becomes unclear. Prime Trend Master uses internal multi-EMA trend zones to identify alignment between shorter- and longer-term price behaviour. When those zones overlap and the market becomes less directional, the EA can remain neutral rather than forcing an entry.

The strategy does not use martingale, grid, averaging down or recovery trading. Each position is independent. This makes the behaviour of the EA easier to understand, test and control.

How the Strategy Works

Prime Trend Master first evaluates the relationship between its short- and long-term EMA zones. Entries can then be confirmed with optional RSI, ADX and Stochastic filters.

The user can choose how restrictive these confirmations should be. The EA can use a scoring approach or stricter confirmation logic depending on the selected configuration.

Once a trade is open, several position-management tools are available:

• fixed or ATR-based Stop Loss and Take Profit;

• configurable Trailing Stop;

• partial profit taking with optional movement to breakeven;

• time-based exit after a specified number of bars;

• spread and broker stop-level checks;

• optional one-trade-per-symbol logic.

This allows the entry logic and trade management to be adjusted separately without changing the basic trend-following concept.

Historical Testing and Robustness

The XAUUSD H1 strategy has been tested over approximately six years using Every tick based on real ticks data.

Tests were also performed using data from IC Markets, XM and Darwinex to compare the behaviour of the same strategy under different broker environments.

Across these historical tests, the strategy produced more than 900 trades, with maximum drawdown around 13% in the tested configuration.

These figures refer to historical Strategy Tester results. They are provided to describe how the strategy was evaluated and do not guarantee comparable future or live-trading performance.

Risk and Configuration

Prime Trend Master supports both fixed-lot and percentage-based position sizing.

Its main entry filters and trade-management components can be enabled, disabled or adjusted through the EA inputs. This allows experienced users to test alternative configurations while the default XAUUSD H1 setup provides a ready-to-use starting point.

The default configuration was developed through multi-year historical testing. Users should nevertheless test it with their own broker data before using the EA on a live account, because spreads, commissions, execution and price history can differ between brokers.

Gold can be highly volatile, so position size should always be selected according to the account size and the level of risk the trader is prepared to accept.

Requirements and Starting Setup

Prime Trend Master is designed primarily for:

• MetaTrader 5;

• XAUUSD;

• H1 timeframe;

• hedging accounts;

• market execution.

To start testing, attach Prime Trend Master to an XAUUSD H1 chart, load the default configuration and enable Algo Trading.

A VPS can be useful when the EA is intended to run continuously.

Who Is Prime Trend Master For?

Prime Trend Master is intended for traders who prefer trend-following strategies with selective entries and explicit risk management rather than high-frequency trading or recovery systems.

It may also appeal to users who want to understand what their EA is doing: the strategy has identifiable entry conditions, configurable confirmation filters and clearly defined position-management rules.

The default setup focuses on XAUUSD H1, while the adjustable inputs also make the EA suitable for research and testing on other symbols and timeframes.
