Apex Drawdown Zero V9 — Gold & Forex Trading Robot (XAUUSD, EURUSD, EURJPY) with Prop Firm Protection | MT5
Apex Drawdown Zero is a fully automated trading robot for MetaTrader 5, built for traders who care about drawdown control first. It trades a proprietary daily session-range model on the H1 timeframe, taking a maximum of one qualified trade per day with a fixed, percent-based risk and a structural stop-loss attached from the moment of entry.
No martingale. No grid. No averaging. No recovery mode. Every trade has a stop-loss. Always.
How this EA trades
Each day the robot maps the session's key price range and evaluates how the market behaves at its boundaries. A proprietary multi-stage qualification engine — trend alignment, candle-quality scoring, timing windows and spread control — separates genuine breakouts from liquidity traps. When no setup meets the quality thresholds, the EA does not trade that day.
In Version 9 every key threshold — breakout buffer, range filter and stop distance — is volatility-relative (ATR-based), so the logic adapts to each instrument automatically instead of using fixed, symbol-specific values. Defaults were developed on real tick-level data across XAUUSD, EURUSD and EURJPY and verified with out-of-sample testing: settings tuned on one period, confirmed on a later period they had never seen.

Prop firm EA features (FTMO-style challenge protection)
The package includes a dedicated prop-firm edition with a built-in Guardian layer, measured against your challenge's initial balance the same way funding companies measure it:
- Daily-loss halt with a safety buffer under the typical 5% daily rule — flattens open trades when triggered
- Maximum-drawdown halt with a buffer under the typical 10% limit
- Target lock: the EA stops trading the moment your profit target is reached, protecting your pass
- Friday flat-close for accounts that cannot hold positions over the weekend
- Initial balance is captured automatically per account login and persists across restarts
Any account size — automatic
Position sizing is fully percent-based. The same settings file works on 100 USD, 10,000 USD or 200,000 USD accounts: lot size, margin fit and broker volume limits are recalculated on every trade. A hard per-trade lot cap is available as an additional safety input.

Recommended setup
- Symbols: XAUUSD (Gold) — the primary instrument this EA was developed on — plus EURUSD and EURJPY
- Timeframe: H1
- Account: Standard, ECN or Raw Spread; leverage 1:30 or higher
- Minimum deposit: 100 USD (500 USD or higher recommended for live use)
- VPS recommended — the EA works on live ticks and should run continuously
- Broker server time matters for the daily cutoff: confirm it before live deployment
Getting started in 3 steps
- Attach the EA to an XAUUSD, EURUSD or EURJPY H1 chart and allow algo trading
- Leave Preset on AUTO (or load the set file matching your account type)
- Verify the on-chart dashboard shows SCANNING — the EA handles the rest
Run the EA on a demo account or in the Strategy Tester first and confirm behaviour with your broker's conditions before any live deployment.
Frequently asked questions
The EA has not traded today — is something wrong? No. It takes at most one qualified trade per day, and several no-trade days per month are normal and intentional.
Does it work on prop firm challenge accounts? Yes — the included FTMO edition was built specifically for evaluation and funded accounts, with automatic daily-loss and drawdown protection. Reduce the risk input to suit your provider's limits.
Which symbols and timeframes are supported? It is designed and validated for XAUUSD, EURUSD and EURJPY on H1. With Preset on AUTO the EA configures itself per symbol. Other symbols require re-optimization and are not officially supported. Indices such as US30 are not recommended.
Is my account size a problem? No. Sizing is percent-based and adapts automatically to any balance.
Can I run it alongside other EAs? Yes — it manages only its own trades by magic number. Note that other EAs' losses still count toward prop-firm limits.

Support is provided through MQL5 private messages. Updates are free for all buyers. After purchase, send your account type (challenge phase, funded, or personal) to receive the matching configuration guidance.
