I need help in modifying an amibroker AFL indicator the indicator already works but I need per symbol static variable isolation, parameters persistence per symbol after restart, non declining trailing stop logic, parameter auto restore when switching symbols and a global reset function for static variables.
For better understanding As discussed, this is the official offer for restructuring my RAD Chandelier stop loss indicator within Amibroker, according to the below key points (copy/paste from chats). 1. Symbol Isolation + Activation Control The indicator must be fully isolated per symbol, using symbol-keyed static variables (e.g. based on Name()). • When toggling between symbols in the same pane/sheet, stop levels and parameters must not bleed between tickers. • The indicator must be "invisible" by default for any new symbol (until activated - next point). • The stop should only display after I manually adjust parameters and explicitly activate it for that specific symbol. • The On/Off activation state must be saved per symbol using the same static variable architecture as the stop level 2. Non-Declining Trailing Logic The trailing stop must follow existing up/sideways ratchet movements (already defined) and must never move downward due to recalculation, parameter changes, symbol switching, or chart refresh events. 3. Parameter Isolation + Sync (Single-Symbol Focus) Per-Symbol Operation: Parameters must operate on a per-symbol basis using persistent symbol-specific storage (where settings must survive an AmiBroker restart). The Parameter window must always reflect and control only the settings for the currently selected symbol. Automatic Restore: When switching between symbols, the Parameter window must automatically load and display that symbol’s previously saved settings (e.g., ATR period, multiplier, activation state), with no other symbol settings visible. No Cross-Symbol Overwrite: Adjusting parameters while viewing one ticker must not modify, overwrite, or influence the saved settings of any other ticker. 4. No Ghost Artifacts The script must not generate any residual “Status” or duplicate indicator entries when applied to a chart. There must be only one clean master indicator instance visible in the Indicator List. Add-on: Provide a "Global Reset" utility within the parameters. To prevent accidental deletion, this must require a two-step confirmation (e.g., a "Lock/Unlock" toggle followed by a "Confirm Wipe" button) that clears all static variables associated with this indicator across the entire database.Responded
