Latest MT5 update causes lag/freezing only when using my indicators/template - page 5

Hi everyone, I found a working workaround for the MT5 UI lag issue (Build 5572) when using EarnForex Position Sizer / Position Size tools.

Symptoms: candles/ticks update normally, but the MT5 terminal becomes very laggy when moving/resizing the window (UI stutter), and the problem disappears as soon as you remove the Position Sizer from the chart.

Fix / Workaround (confirmed on Build 5572):

  1. Open Position Sizer → Inputs

  2. Set ShowMainLineLabels = false

  3. Change the label font to Arial (or another simple font like Tahoma/Consolas)

  4. Restart the terminal (optional, but helps sometimes)

After disabling the main line labels and switching to Arial, the UI lag completely stopped on my side.

It looks like the slowdown is related to chart text/label rendering in the latest build, so disabling those line labels avoids the heavy redraw calls.

Hope this helps — it fixed it instantly for me.

Thanks for the solution. It seems to eliminate the lag, but when I attempt to execute a trade, it does not allow me to do so, as it informs me that the algorithmic system is disabled. I activate it from the tools options, but it still does not function. What unfortunate timing.

i have also this problem the chart is freezing what to do? i tray reinstall and install mt5  the new version but have same problem 
 
Hi Brother's & Sister's we've all seeing that our MT5 platform is not working with position sizer like the update from Meta Trader lead us to some issues. Well not anymore now Because i found all the legitimate settings to stop that Position Sizer lag. Just follow the steps... 1st: Just add the Position Sizer to the chart and press F7 and then go to INPUT then there will be a Compactness Cell, just change those 4 values to FALSE as shown in Picture and 2nd is most important thing like the main thing which is causing too much lagg - just scroll to the end and drag the mouse to the (arrow as shown in picture ) in Miscellaneous Cell and just change the Value to PREVIOUS CANDLE - this is the reason why there is too much lagg, like this option is rendering every tick moment from the chart which cause High Rendering on GPU. This is the maximum setting for Position Sizer for working Smoothly And the most important part, kindly follow the steps, while Changing those 5 Values you need to save the file and loads it again for everytime you need the Position Sizer and most of the time you can't even save that file to load it again and again but there is always a solution... Just load the Position Sizer, change those 5 Values and just save the chart Template, in this case whenever you open a chart you just need to load your chart - that's it - its like too much easy than loading your Position Sizer settings again and again and i think most of the ppl always set their templates while changing the chart. Hope it saves your time and BTW i spent 4h on this error - cuz i was so panicked and nothing is working like reinstalling or doing other simple things xD

This guys are making us lose money wtf...


I just had a previous version on a Laptop an copied the entire installation on my main computer and it works perfectly. 


I hope it doesnt update automaticlly tomorrow...

If I understand correctly, the update will only be installed after restarting the terminal. Try installing 5430, and then don't restart the terminal until serious bugs in the latest release are fixed.

I installed the 5430 version and it's working. Will do this each time I start my MT5 until the bug is fixed. Thanks Vladislav Boyko

The issue has not been resolved... Version 5574 still has this problem.  What I want to know is a platform this important, Metaquotes' coders aren't even quality control testing it before release, its an absolute disgrace. This sort of thing just shouldn't be happening and unfortunately its not the first time this has happened either, its a constant issue throughout many versions. I wish Metaquotes would move across to Linux, none of this nonesense would happen, or would be at least easier to deal with than microsoft toy OS garbage.
