VPS Provider Blocks MQL5 Login (403 Error) – Any Solutions? - page 2

ilhany #:
If MQL5 don't want to tell the reason, how can I be sure that even my Home-PC will not be blocked in future?

We (on the forum) do not know:

  1. it was blocked by MQL5 (Zomro provider, or some VPS from Netherlands or Gemany by IP/login which may be subnet of Zomro) - you can provide IP/login of your VPS to the service desk and they may check;
  2. or absence of WebView2 on VPS (the provider should do it, or the provider should provide the permission for the clients to install WebView2);
  3. or host file issue (this issue is happened from time to time and especially if we install Metatrader from the brokers' website ... can you fill Comunity tab of Metatrader in VPS? Not? So, most probably - it is host issue;
  4. or provider did not enable TLS 1.2;
  5. some more ...

-----------------------

Personally, -

  • I had case #2 (WebView2) - I had to reinstall WebView2 on my new laptop (not VPS) with Windows 11,
  • and I am having the issue with WebView2 right now with VPS ... I tried to explained them that I can not use MQL5 Market (incl purchases) at all without this WebView2 ... but seems, they do not understand  and asked - "what is WebView2?" - and I replied - "It is from Microsoft Edge coming", they replied: "you do not need Microsoft Edge" ... and so on ... talking ... talking ... I am paying ... paying ... :)
  • case/item #3 - yes I had it on my old laptop with Windows 10 (not VPS) - I installed MT4 from the broker's website and got this issue.

-----------------------

So, it is not easy to find the reason ... but MQL5 will not find the reason because they/MQL5 have nothing to do with any external VPS for example.
I mean: the real idea in this situation is to change VPS provider (I already changed 2 providers).

The external VPS technicians/developers/managers should be more professional than I am (because it is their business) ... but in reality? So ...

Some traders were more lucky because their VPS providers told them about everything related to what he/provider did ... and he fixed the issue by himself -

In most of the cases - the providers did something, for example - increase the security for all machines and so on - read post and post (I mean: MQL5 has nothing to do with many cases).

Now the answer from my provider is here, they haven't changed anything. I've installed the OS on both VPS-machines myself. I'm software developer, so I'm sure that I've installed all correctly. There is no difference between the OS on the VPS and the OS on my Home-PC. Of course MQL5 is not responsible for external VPS, but it is also not responsible for my Home-PC. With this argumentation this company can also block my Home-PC without feeling responsible, so that I no longer can update my EA's or buy new ones. Very strange logic.

Yes, the users can be banned by IP (irrespective off - home PC or VPS), and it can be "fake ban by IP".
Some users (myself included) had this "fake ban by IP" several times.

"Fake ban by IP" is the following: my IP is becaming same with IP which was banned long time ago ... why? because I have dynamic IP, it means: IP will be changed if I restart my router for example. And yes - the decision is the following: restart modem/router to change IP (in case IP is the dynamical one). I made about 50 posts on the forum about it by informing the users about it and what to do for example.

My VPS has no dynamic IPs, my Home-PC also. If any of my IP's has been banned long time ago, then why I was able to connect the last months? And why this company is not able to take back this ban?

If I buy a product, then this is a contract between me and this company with the implicit promise that I should be able to use it in the intended way. For EA's from the marketplace the intended way is that I've to be able to update them if a new version is available. But now, I'm not able to update or buy new EA's and I, as customer, have absolutely no idea why. The action to ban comes from my contract partner and I will be left alone? They are not responsible for external VPS, but they are responsible for the bans and in this way they dont keep the promises within the contract. This can't be the correct way to handle this.

If there was anything wrong with my both VPS, that has lead to this ban, then the same wrong thing I could do unintentionally  on my Home-PC. To avoid this, I've to know the reason. But this company makes a big secret about the reason. If they don't want answer directly, then they could make a list of things, that can lead to a ban. For example: "Two VPS are not allowed", perhabs this was part of the problem. If they do nothing, just say "search for another VPS", then they do not keep their promises within the contract. I'm forced to find another solution which is time and cost consuming and to activate all products again. I've an EA with five activations, three are left. Now I've to activate it again, and two more bans later I can't do any updates. Every ban leads to financial disadvantages for me. All this is frustating and unexpected and I don't understand the behaviour of this company.

I'm absolutely disappointed, but enough, I will not write more.

Your VPS was blocked ... or not - no one knows about it.
You checked this blog post and told that your VPS is not related to Zomro together with subnets of Zomro (Zomro with subnets was blocked for well-known reason) ... but we (on the forum) shoud believe in it? It is technical forum ... and we on the forum know nothing related to your VPS and related to any technical details (you know about it only).

So, you only can find the reason of it, or change VPS provider for example.

---------------------

I want to post the link to this post-

- please re-read this post once again, because you only can find the reason of it (we on the forum have nothing with it). And according to my experience of replying on the forum: MQL5 is rarely banned VPS for now ...

--------------------

And check a look at those two posts -post and post - the users had same issue with you but they did not believe in their VPS provider ... and spoke with him more ... and finally - the provider told the reason and fix it.

--------------------

My personal experience: I am having the second VPS for now, and the provider does not understand anything about WebView2  but I can not install it by myself ... for two months ... and I am paying ... paying ..

--------------------

As a conclusion: it is really difficult to find the VPS provider who understands everything and who be responsible for everything ...
because it is our risk (your risk in case of your VPS and my risk in case of my VPS), and this risk can not be moved to anyone alse.

Hi everyone, I am experiencing a persistent issue with logging into MQL5 from a VPS rented from a provider under ASN AS197540...

I've not wanted to write anymore, but why do you insest in a penetrant way on your solutions? I'm software developer since 30 years, I've taken all your suggestions into account, I've asked my VPS provider and also the support of MQL5 and I also posted all answers from the support here and if I bring all together, my IP's was banned by MQL5. So the action to ban comes from MQL5. Is it not in the interest of all users, when MQL5 thinks about a better way of handling this bans?

If MQL5 told that your VPS was banned so it was banned ... but if MQL5 did not tell about it in clear way so ... - you can find the reason by yourself.
Because did you tell to MQL5 the IP of your VPS to check, right?

-----------------

So, try to find everything by yourself. Because I am not software developer with 30 year experience ... but I had to understand about WebView2, "fake ban by IP", about  TLS 1.2 and more and more ... did I really need it? Not ... I tried to understand it just because I had similar issue and I wanted to fix it ..
If you are software developer with 30 year experience so you know more.

I can't access the mql5.com website from the myforexvps.com VPS server

Aleksei Belousov , 2021.05.07 17:08

Good day, dear forum members. Yesterday I created a VPS account on myforexvps.com

My VPS IP is 91.149.231.104.

I have two terminals. One on <...>, the second one is new (I decided to try a new broker) <...>.

Everything is installed except my trading robot.

I try to download it from the Market. It usually requires login. I try to login. It doesn't work. I click on "forgot password".

IE Explorer opens. Explorer returns error. 403.

I'm trying to get to the mql5.com website from the explorer - the same thing. 403.

All threads about this issue have been reviewed.

The actual Webview2 is installed and always up to date as Edge is always up to date, I've checked this again, the latest  Webview2 is installed, i have TLS 1.2 activated. I've provided the support with my two IPs. When there are more requirements to fulfill, the MQL5 can publish them. Why do you insest that the problem is on my side? I can reach all other websites, only www.mql5.com was suddenly not reachable anymore, and this on two machines, one running with windows, the other with debian. This clearly shows, that the problem is on MQL5 side, not mine. So why do you again and again repeat your suggestions? And why I've to live with suddenly bans, when it costs time and money? The server side is the problem, it is not reachable from my PC. I can reach other servers, so my IP's are on a blacklist on the server. And the server is maintained by MQL5. So the maintainer can take the IP's again from the blacklist.
