Forex is so complicated that often smart people do not get to the end thinking they know all the theory. Sometimes you need to go a little further (e.g., discard the extra stuff), and use those most reliable signals to win seldom but aptly.

I don't play poker at all, but my robots trade profitably.

Although, of course, the market is closer to poker than to chess.

Intelligence comes in mental (default), social, physical health, intuition and other. Translated nicely, it's a level. And yes, purely intelligence is not a sufficient condition for a good life, work or trading)))))

Yes, I wouldn't say that trading requires a special mind - some people just get lucky, but chess requires a mind - otherwise people like khorosh and Nepomniyashchiy will flood this space.

Chess is combinatorics; it does not need a sharp mind, but a routine of analysis. A chess player may well be a good performer, but he does not make decisions.
