This rule is suitable for any strategy related to technical analysis. By resistance we mean densities on the left side of the chart, i.e. tops/bottoms.
This may be the reason why many people recommend trend trading, if you consider a price move to be a trend when there is no resistance on the left side.

You do not trade on the exchange with a DC computer, but with a real person (firm, bank).
