Probably everyone has already heard that the 5 biggest forex brokers will soon cease their work in Russia and this raises some questions. Will this be the end of your trading career? Or will some of you go to master other markets? In general, how do you feel about it?

The only way for forex to die is if they introduce a FIXED rate for one currency to the other, or if there is ONE planetary state on Earth.

This is not expected to happen in the short term, so forex is not threatened...

And the fact that they closed several unscrupulous firms, so "the place is not empty" - and this niche will be immediately filled by others ...

Taking the license away from five kitchens... that's a terrible thing. As they worked, they will continue to work. There are normal companies that have a more serious licence and do not take it away.
 

Most of us, residents of Russia and fraternal countries, are unknowingly clients of brokers (DCs) who have never had a RF licence. They are usually registered somewhere offshore. And we work with them normally. They gladly accept our money in the most convenient way for us, and they also pay out honestly earned money to some of us. So nothing will change for us, the clients, in other countries RF licences are not needed.

The impact of these few closed offices on forex is about the weight of a mosquito on an elephant, maybe even less. So there is no need to worry about Forex either, it will live on.

These are not "major forex brokers", but small shops where no one has ever traded at all. The big ones, with similar names, are not registered in Russia.

 
And forex will live on, what will it do? And the brokerage companies will not stop working, who in this industry ever cared about what is happening in the Russian jurisdiction? They will continue as they were working. Hints of panic on the forums were because the names of brokerage companies and firms whose licenses were taken away, yes. But it seems everyone has already sorted it out.

To begin with, these forex brokers have never worked in Russia as it is. It is us, who are from Russia, who work with them by transmitting trade orders over the internet, not them working in Russia. Nothing has changed in this respect and nothing will probably change. Maybe for some standard tasks, you will need to press a couple of extra buttons (for example, enable VPN), and nothing more.

I do not. The total amount of deposits of legal entities whose licenses were taken away was something like 13.5 million rubles. This is not even a drop in the ocean.
The market will not notice this nonsense. Most of them have been working with offshore or foreign brokers and are still doing so.
