a company is only considered a financial intermediary if it offers payment services between third parties, holds client funds for investment purposes

You mentioned a company is considered a financial intermediary if it "holds client funds for investment purposes".  That is exactly what Metaquotes is doing.  It is holding hundreds of thousands of dollars for it's customers and that money is sitting in a bank account for Metaquotes collecting interest and being used for operational expenses.  Therefore, it "holds client funds for investment purposes" (it's own) which classifies it as an international bank.

You're confusing operational float with investment of client funds. Holding prepaid balances in a closed-loop system does not constitute "investment purposes" under any financial regulation, unless those funds are managed on behalf of clients, which is not the case here.

Speculating that MetaQuotes uses customer balances for its own expenses without any evidence is not a legal argument, it's just conjecture. If you're going to accuse a company of acting as an international bank, at least cite a single court case, regulation, or audit that supports your claim.

Otherwise, you're just making noise.

Unfortunately, there are always fake accounts and malicious actors who attempt to undermine solid systems, like a virus trying to infect a healthy environment. These individuals often aim to cast doubt on platforms that have a clear mission, long-standing credibility, and a vital role in the trading ecosystem.

MQL5, for instance, is not just a marketplace; it’s an essential part of the workflow for traders, students, educators, and developers alike. Its transparency, consistency, and innovation over the past decades have made it a unique and irreplaceable platform in the trading world.

Yet, it’s surprising_ and frankly disappointing_ to see some of these fake accounts trying to discredit such a system. Sometimes they leave misleading reviews or comments on Expert Advisors, or even promote fake versions of products on unofficial websites. Unfortunately, they are present in many corners of the internet, creating noise and confusion.

In my view, the best way to deal with such attempts is simply not to give them attention. Ignoring them is often the most effective response, while continuing to focus on building value and supporting the genuine, professional community that makes MQL5 what it is.

hey there,

it seems paypal has been removed from the payment methods. At least I dont have paypal displayed as payment method. Is this the case, or is there something wrong?

Kind regards,

Florian

How to withdraw money from MQL5.com now?

Vitalyi Belykh , 2025.07.24 12:41

The second day the withdrawal to WM does not work, processing is in progress, then the message "Withdrawal *** USD to Webmoney is failed. Payment system declined the transaction."
In the WM chat they requested details of the refusal on the mql5 side.
Has anyone ever had this happen?
and they wrote to the service desk, and the service desk replied that they will check this issue as soon as possible.
I think it was temporarily difficultes so you can try once again tomorrow or the day after tomorrow for example (because no any complaints for now so seems it was fixed today in the evening).

Anyway, try tomorrow or the day after tomorrow,

Please find a new method for the US and other countries that used paypal in the past and have no easy way to withdraw earned money.   I've been searching and trying different methods for the past month and can't find any way to withdraw the money my agents earned.
