I mean FORTS. It's spacey, intergalactic there.

Already fixed in the new beta available on MetaQuotes-Demo.

Spreads in M1 are now counted by min instead of max per minute. All historical bases will be automatically recalculated as soon as brokers update their servers. This will allow to test volatile instruments by modelling from M1.

In one release build we will also open up the option of testing using real ticks.

Thanks for the reply. That sounds very reassuring!

If you count by min at all, the spread will be 0 in very many cases.

Renat, please see application in Service Desk #1327398 about sorting symbols in Market Watch. What do you think, is it possible?

Zero does not count.

Sorting and marketwatch upgrade in general will come later.

Aleksey:

The stupidity lies already in the fact that "limiters" change to "stops" when dragged to the oncoming gang.

Whoever came up with this know-how has ever traded in limiters?

It's a "time bomb", the limiters instantly turn into stops that work "on the market"!

Using the above quote as an example, I'll explain to those who came up with such logic:

  • A trader puts a hundred lots to sell on any "asc." - limit.
  • at a certain moment, when he sees a decent bid, he drags his order to it, which miraculously transforms into a pending market order - stop and...
  • nothing happens... it hangs, waiting for a trade... (during this time, by the way, a good counter can be taken off, but not the point...)
  • and only when an outside deal has occurred - instead of taking the volume at this level and staying at the same level,
  • the order that was limit in the past goes flying in a daring market drop as long as there's enough volume.

is this normal behaviour?

but as for the subtext, I can only offer the same thing, but from the third point onwards...

List of changes in MetaTrader 5 Client Terminal builds

MetaQuotes Software Corp., 2015.10.29 07:39

New version of the MetaTrader 5 platform build 1210: Revision of the Depth of Market and general fixes

An update to the MetaTrader 5 platform will be released on Friday 30 October 2015. The update contains the following changes:

  1. Terminal: Added possibility to place limit orders below the market in the Depth of Market. This allows for guaranteed execution of an order at a specified price in exchange markets.

If you drag a limit order across the Buy and Sell order boundary, it will change to a stop order (Buy Limit is replaced with Buy Stop and Sell Limit is replaced with Sell Stop). Now hold down the Crtl key while dragging to ensure that the limit order is not changed to a stop order.

Renat Fatkhullin:

This is already planned.

We'll open up the possibility of working properly and beautifully with custom tools and writing our own datafeed plugins. And it will also be possible to manually insert files.

Literally tears of joy roll down my cheek! Five years of waiting and it's here!
