Discussion of article "How to Prepare a Trading Account for Migration to Virtual Hosting" - page 9

Hello!

Can you tell me if this function will help me if I trade manually? That is, I put a trailing stop manually on my trades, and accordingly, if the Internet or electricity goes out in the house, the trailing stop stops working because it is executed on the terminal. Can I secure my manual trading with a trailing stop with your shared hosting?

Thank you!

Yes, on the server you put an Expert Advisor(for example this one) that will pick up all orders opened by you

and move the stop.

and rearrange the stop.

But synchronisation does not happen automatically. It turns out that I will need to manually synchronise the remote terminal after each opening of a deal?

But synchronisation does not happen automatically. So I have to manually synchronise the remote terminal after each trade opening?

synchronise the terminal with the installed Expert Advisor once and that's it

trades do not need to be synchronised.

hello!

I have allocated a virtual service for my demo account (Tripleafx broker)

But the migration fails. what could be the problem?

What is written in the terminal logs?

For now (temporarily) migration will not work if there is nothing to migrate. For example, there are no Expert Advisors, custom indicators and no signal on the charts. In the next version, we will allow migration of an empty environment, so that we can try the service in idle mode.

VINIPUH:

once you synchronise the terminal with the installed Expert Advisor and that's it

you don't need to synchronise trades.

So trades are synchronised automatically after all? And only EAs, Expert Advisors, etc. are not automatically synchronised. ?

CORRECT

Opening a deal through ADROID applications you do not synchronise the terminal on PC with ADROID applications, or placing a pending order from your laptop you do not need to do anything to see your pending order on any other terminal (connected to your account).

The deal in any other terminal (connected to your account) will appear automatically without unnecessary actions, information about the presence of a position or order will be received by the terminal from the server of your broker.

The same will happen with the terminal on the server = information about the presence of a position or order will be received by the terminal from your broker's server.

And the rest should be synchronised as needed:

  • set up Expert Advisors === synchronised
  • need to change the parameter of Expert Advisors === changed === synchronised
  • you need to disable experts === disable === synchronised
Synchronisation is done in a few clicks so there shouldn't be any problems and it won't take much time.

Migration failed. (2014.11.12 21:55:47.228 Virtual Hosting: 2366 signal for '5506052' is not enabled, migration not processed
)

I did everything according to the instructions

Is there anything to synchronise on charts?

For synchronisation to succeed, you need to have at least one Expert Advisor, custom indicator or active signal.

This is the condition in the current version, and in the next version we will allow synchronising even empty charts for service evaluation.
