Discussion of article "How to Prepare a Trading Account for Migration to Virtual Hosting" - page 13

bhumi22:

And where do I renew my signal subscription?

As usual - from your terminal or from the website - https://www.metatrader5.com/ru/terminal/help/signals/signal_subscriber.

bhumi22:

And do I understand correctly that you can open trades manually in your terminal, and they will be automatically transferred to the virtual - i.e. you do not need to synchronise them in any way?

Your trade orders go to the broker's trading server and after their execution are reflected on your trading account. Virutal terminal like a regular terminal will receive all changes about your trading account from the broker's server. That is, you do not need to synchronise the virtual terminal to update the list of positions and orders.

bhumi22: Another question. I use indicators on the terminal, which EAs do not need. Before migration, I understand, it is better to switch them all off.
Yes, disable them as it is written in the article Preparing a trading account for migration to virtual hosting.

If I then switch them on again in my terminal, will it have no effect on the state of the virtual server?
As long as you do not synchronise your client and virtual terminals yourself . This is also described in the article.

Rosh:

Query the logs of the virutal terminal directly from your client terminal. https://www.mql5.com/en/articles/994

I'd like to know how to do it))))) What are these pieces of text that will be filtered on)))))) I am not a programmer at all))))

After migration I have a message in the main log "Signal - different specification of symbol EURUSD, signal provider has maximal volume 10000.00, subscriber has 100.00" and so on for all currency pairs I left in the overview before migration. Do I need to do something to fix it?

If the signal provider does not trade huge volumes of 50 lots or more, there is no problem.

Tell those who already use the remote server here - do the Expert Advisors work normally, correctly? No problems arise?

bhumi22, I have been using it on one of the small experimental accounts for about two months now. There were glitches with migration, but I contacted servicedesk and they fixed it in two seconds. Sometimes it pumps out an unreasonably large amount of information during synchronisation. I tried to synchronise 5 times in a row - 5 times in a row and it downloaded nothing. And when it wants to - it only uploads only what is declared for synchronisation. They say that perhaps it is he charts so uploads - and I do not understand why not to do so that charts loaded after the synchronisation itself directly from the trade server and why the increased upload goes several times in a row, and then mysteriously stops... but Now everything is normal. But it's fine now.

But basically migration is instantaneous, Expert Advisors work quickly and clearly - there are plenty of resources, you can easily choose a server with minimal ping to the trading server, for all the time of work the hosting server has not once rebooted - worked without failures.

please tell me, if I understand correctly, if I connect to the virtual server, synchronise, set the signal, then after that I can close the terminal and turn off the computer? can I ask you in private?
