Hi Scorpion, One question.... Do you turn off the Swinger at certain times of the day, for example between maybe After 12 Noon to 2 AM which most of the times are pretty slow and more prone to choppy behavior or you leave it running all day?

I leave it running all day untouched. Everything is 100% auto, as I don't like screen watching much. Time filter is definitely a must in next major version. Too bad I cannot use mt4 strategy tester to generate PL/time stats. To date the forward testing is only 45 days, so PL/time stats cannot be officially concluded.

 

It seems that 30 pips SL is not working. Try SL = 100 and TP = 150 instead.

 

Just want to let you know what I am working on the moment for version 2.1.

  • Activate trailing stop only if current price reaches minimum distance from open
  • Audible alerts for manual trade.
  • Comment in trade.

Hi Scorpion ,

I am still having whipsaw trades with version 2 ,

is it possible to have a option that will not open a new trade until

the existing trade is closed automatically by the stoploss or the take profit target ?

Off what I know over all those years trading and working on 1 hour charts and reading books and using metastock profesional and amibroker etc etc etc...a position is taken in after a compleet bar is finished. Because within 1 hour bar a set off rules can be many times true or false. So how comes when I look to the trading rapport I see that the majority off the positions are placed during an hour (ex. 20:14) and not AT the hour (ex. 20:00 or 21:00)?... or is that a part off the strategy ?...

I don't know about this, but I have two advisors, one is RSX Swinger and another one unnamed yet.

I got the same result here, string of bad -8 to -2 pips trades. This is a new bug in v2 only, since I added a few logics. Expect a fix in the future revision. Until then version 1.3 is more stable.

For v1.3 and v2, there can be multiple trades in the same 1h bar. Actually, what I want is only 1 trade per bar. This is a major problem for most expert advisors around the net; trades keep on open and close in the same bar. The only real solution is to code new crossover checking in mql4. The workaround is setting buy level = 54, exit buy level = 46, sell level = 46, and exit sell level = 54.
