When does this EA decide to exist a position that it has martingaled into ? ie. it had a loss but then gained back to a price above the 3 positions it brought... at what profit target should it exit?

eg. I have a gbp position that is a 100 pips positive after taking three positions but only the SL is set at its original position... should i set it to put a trailing stop?

I have the super safe settings loaded.

EDIT: oh, the broker is US based and there are FIFO rules stopping it from closing some positions..

Edit again: so i've had the new filter and non news filter running for a few days but now its friday it both havn't traded for nearly 10 hours. I tried zeroing out all the trade days and times but still no action... any ideas? I have about 5 different pairs running so I thoughts I'd see something as its usually quite active..

edit: well one broker with tick scalp on it just traded once. the others have not. I had a look into this spreadometer indi but can't figure otu what it is doing. I see it was posted on this thread but no information.. and i dont see it being used in the tickscalper code

Hi jackjones,

This EA is very complicated for me (by coding) so I asked MrTools or the other coder to reply to you. Basicly - I do not have any problem with this EA especially for super safe settings. By the way - you can look at profitable pairs (just few pairs are profitable only) - I am uploading visual statements here for profitable pairs (just to be easy to select pair/settings combination).

Hi Jackjones,

Am checking the code out (have to refresh my memory how this EA works) and will get back to you.

ps) only iCustom indicator is Tick Smoother_v2 and the spreadometer is as far as i can tell, only used to monitor the spread outside of the Ea but the Ea is monitoring the spread internally by using the max spread setting. So maybe check your brokers spread,

My Demo account GBPJPY has big loss.

Hi just to state that my demo account GBPJPY running ticscalper super safe mode FXCM had a big loss. I am dropping it from the list to run on real money. It was running well for a long time but as the EURGBP more safe mode failed also the GBPJPY failed the market. Eventually due to scalping and martingale this ea will loose at some point and time. Today, Tommorow, 2 years at some point blows accounts or risks equity with large DD and loss. https://www.mql5.com/en/forum

GBPJPY super safe?

Yes, this pair survived for the long time:

min lot size = 0.01 and max lot size = 0.08 (since August 2010).

Trades total = 560 since August 2010 (yes, since 2010!).

So, it is not trading often.

It is slowly going to margin call for me with max lot size 5 ...

Other pairs (EURGBP and USDCHF) are fine for now.

EURUSD had some loss some time ago too.

It is martingale + scalping so it is double risk ...

My gbyjpy is still going on the newsfilter version using mode 10 (no martingale)

I am also checking monthly vol levels and putting it on low vol pairs.
